Leaves were never removed from Greenbriar, Mayfair, and Arden neighborhoods last fall. Snow fell on top making snow removal a mess. Potholes emerged making it even worse especially where Wilton and Greenbriar merge. Then last weekend - city crews were pumping what I presume to be leaves out of the storm sewer leaving a huge mess. The entry to our neighborhood now looks really bad. Crumbling roads covered with muck and piles of dead leaves. What does one need to do to bring attention to this? When will the leaves be removed and the roads be repaired and cleaned up?

Please forward this praise to the appropriate dept: If we haven't thanked the appropriate department already, on behalf of Bloomington Transit I want to give an enormous thanks to all the staff responsible for clearing the roads so that BT's fixed route and BTaccess (disabled transport) could successfully maintain operations last week during the awful cold and snow. There is a large city tree -- a sugar maple -- in front of our house at 2321 S. Montclair. It's between the sidewalk and the road, near our driveway. The tree is dead and has started to lose limbs. I hope the city can send a crew to remove it soon. A few years ago, Doug Fowler (arborist) suggested putting a support in the tree to help its stability. I paid for that support, so if possible, please ask the crew to leave it behind in case I could ever re-use it. Thank you!

A new sidewalk in this area was installed, but the road doesn't seem to be finished. There are huge potholes and it is unsafe for bikes, pedestrians, and vehicles.

i noticed a very dangerous situation that needs to be fixed. on the old part of west 3rd street that is still 2 lanes, beside the cresent donut shop, it is very narrow there, & i noticed that the edge of the street there is crumbling away. when it starts snowing in a month or 2, it will be even more dangerouse, because as the snow accumulates it can form a false shelf effect. in other words, the street there could look wider than it really is, so a driver could easily go over the edge & down into a little creek under there. please fix. thank you

Please see attached photo. This location is at 10th and Park and has been reported to the IU Grounds Dept. as a tripping hazard. The gray bucket is there to indicate a bus pickup for the Boy Scouts that are in town but the metal and the sandbags are blocking the sidewalk, our crews moved the items off the sidewalk and into the homeowners yard. Comcast has set up a tent on the corner of 3rd and Atwater and is blocking the sidewalk with signs. Do they have a business license to be operating here? Are they allowed to block the sidewalk?

I am very annoyed by the new Tap bar on the corner of College and Kirkwood in the center of our downtown because they broadcast through speakers to the sidewalk area anything and everything: TV, sports casts, music, live entertainment. It is annoying and inappropriate for that area of the downtown. I think it cheapens the area. Can anything be done to stop it?

I just contacted Bloomington Transit, but wanted to report to the city Transportation department as well. I driver I saw a few weeks ago littering his cigarette butt at the downtown BT station, was seen eating while driving today. Below is the email I sent to BT. I hope this driver is properly trained and/or reprimanded. This is unacceptable from anyone, but especially someone representing the city. "Hello, Do you allow your drivers to eat food while they drive? I assume not; this is a major safety risk that a bus driver should not be doing. However, the driver of 4W, today, October 14, leaving downtown at 6:10p was eating chips WHILE he was driving. Not just while stopped at lights, but as the bus was in motion, having at least only one hand on the wheel while transporting 10-15 people during rush hour. I believe this is the same driver I emailed about a few weeks ago who I saw littering his cigarette butts outside on the sidewalk adjacent to Walnut St. What an inconsiderate, selfish, unsafe driver. I hope a wreck doesn't happen because he's endangering people and can't wait to eat until he's at the station."
