A question about pipe draining into Sheridan Creek. What is draining, from where? Over more than a decade I have observed the bank erode away from the pipe and the concrete support move (or is the pipe pulling away from the bank)? As a frequent Park visitor i am curious about what's going on with the pipe. Thanks for any info you can share.
The tennis court lights are not turning on in the evening. I was there Friday night from 7:00 PM until 8:30 PM expecting the lights would eventually turn on. They didn’t and everyone playing tennis had to leave because of the darkness.
I noticed last night that the Northeast corner of the tennis courts at Bryan Park has a light that is facing to the north. It's very bright and shines right into traffic headed south on Woodlawn. I'm not sure if it got rotated in a wind event or something, but it might need to be turned back towards the courts.
I saw this Walking with Ease sign at Bryan Park. For people with arthritis or poor balance or impaired vision / hearing or other such issues would walk around the asphalt paths with greater ease and sense of safety if some "Cyclists Yield to Pedestrians" signs were posted. This is especially true of the path through the middle of the park, which connects cyclists between the Allen Street Bicycle Boulevard and the Southdowns bike-ped lanes. I would suggest a sign at each end of that path, on the the Henderson and Woodlawn sides. I walk there frequently with my dog and friends. Cyclists approach from in front and behind. We pedestrians usually make room and sometimes the cyclists do. Sometimes they let us know when they come up from behind, but not always. Some signage could end the confusions over right-of-way. Keep in mind that the mid-path curves. That is pleasant and would be safer if cyclists slowed down and anticipated other users. Defensivei cycling, the cycling version of defensive driving. Thanks!
Last year (?) the Callery pears in the grass strip next to the Bryan Park tennis courts on Woodlawn were removed. Are there any plans to replace them with native trees,
There is a bunch of trash next to and under the tree. Someone might be living there. It is near the tennis court
The recently installed conduit on the light at the north end of the tennis courts is not installed properly and the wires are exposed.
No chair for the lifeguard at the Limestone Lagoon?
There are a series of deep potholes between Adams St and North Waldron that are both difficult to see at night and difficult to avoid during the day with cars parked alnog the street. It needs repaving. I have recently popped two of my bike tires on this road that I commute on multiple times daily.
