Sidewalk Snow Removal
815 S Larkspur LN
- Case Date:
- 3/2/2015
Hello,
Two weeks ago, it snowed three times in one week. After this, the City came through my neighborhood, West Point, and cited residents at least twice for not shoveling snow.
After this recent snowfall, again there are some residents that have not shoveled even though it has been 24 hours since the accumulation of snow. I have noticed a lot of people shovelled this time, but not all.
In particular, the resident at 815 S. Larkspur Lane never shovelled those three times before, was cited twice with yellow papers on their door (which are no longer there, thus they probably saw the citations), and have not shovelled this time. Based on their recent inactivity, I presume they don't intend on shovelling.
Please help again by sending someone to the West Point neighborhood, in hopes that people will--if not learn how to be considerate of others--find incentive to shovel so they won't be fined.
Thank you very much for all the help!

There is a lot of sand and debris in the bike lanes on College and Walnut as they go under the railroad bridge. It's dangerous because it's difficult to get traction and keep from spinning out and falling into a lane of traffic.

The white strips on Rogers Street and Dodds Street indicating where cars are supposed to stop are worn out. Drivers have a habit of driving through the intersection without stopping and drawing more attention to the stops would be beneficial. The stop signs could also have a reflective strip on them to draw more attention to them.
1st Street and Rogers could also benefit from the same improvements.

Large potholes from previous pipe work in the alley behind the Hutton Honors College. Some are large enough to cause damage to cars driving over them.

There is a 2 by 1 foot pothole that was intentionally dug in the alley that runs behind the property. So the pothole is between the property and the Hutton Honors College. Don't know if the city or party that dug it was looking for pipes or what, but the hole has been there for almost two weeks unfilled. There are 6 parking spots all in a row behind the property. The pothole is dug in such a way that it is directly behind a parking spot making the spot unusable.
Also, when the pothole was initially dug there was already a car in the parking spot. The pothole was dug directly behind the tires of the car making it impossible to avoid when the car backed out. May want to instruct crews or whichever party was responsible not to do that. Pothole should not be hard to spot.
Please let me know at the email address provided when to expect the pothole to be filled and if there is any other info you need
Thank You
