Construction trucks created this pothole months ago. With the recent rain, it has only gotten worse, even though most of the construction is finished. (I am the president of the Rosewood HOA Board.)
I have two issues to report. The first, the previous landlord Tom Gallagher, used the alley behind his rental property, 712 W. 8th St, to dump debris from various repair projects on the property. The current owners have continued to dump their yard waste, as have the people at the northwest corner of Fairview and 8th. It is now impossible to even walk through the alley because the debris is waist high. Twice in the past few weeks the power has gone out due to the weight vines growing on the power lines behind the house. The last outage is costing me almost $500.00 to have my refrigerator repaired after the power surge that occurred when the power came back on. In addition Mr Gallagher constructed a fence in the alley that has made it impossible for trucks or even large cars to pull into my driveway. I have had delivery people who can't or won't attempt to deliver items to my home that were once perfectly doable. Can you please evaluate this situation as this situation has now cost me considerable money in lost services and un-sucessful delivery charges. It is also a home to insects and vermin.
I have nearly hit pedestrians and bicyclists crossing at this location at night because there are no street lights any where near this exceptionally long crosswalk. Since turning onto 7th street from a south heading means you are competing with north bound traffic on a major road, creeping across to look for pedestrians is not an option and straining to look for pedestrians poses a distraction when gauging oncoming traffic. One of the pedestrian crosswalk signs is not functioning at the corner of Indiana Avenue & East Third Street.
Large sofa on the corner of S Madison and Hillside Dr. Has been there for several weeks now
Hello, At 7:30am, someone began jack-hammering the sidewalk immediately outside my apartment window at 222 N College Ave. There are several apartments facing that sidewalk at this location, and it is directly across the street from the Hilton Hotel. In other words, since many people may be trying to sleep in this area, it seems a bit unreasonable to start something so loud before 8am. Thanks for your attention to this matter. The crosswalk on the southeast corner of Woodlawn and 10th is not functioning properly. When you press to walk, the signal replies to "Wait," but when the crossing is safe to walk, the signal only makes an odd, mechanical noise with no indication that it is safe to cross.
sidewalk at 1231 Allendale Drive is not even. Tree root has uprooted part of the sidewalk. Can it be fixed? Dangerous for people walking or running or with a baby stroller.
tree branches growing over sidewalk in the 1200 block of Allendale on south side of street just west of Bainbridge Drive. It is between the sidewalk and the street. Can these branches be cut back so you can walk under? Thanks
