Some one came and haphazardly weed rated front yard. Backyard hasn't been mowed since July 2024. There are fallen limbs in yard. I reported this about a month ago and only action has been the weed eating in front yard
Neighbors at 3:38 South Maple Street Bloomington, have neglected mowing their lawn this year, particularly their backyard. It's chest high for me. It's unsightly and I fear they may be unwanted vermin. Is there a way to appeal to them too clean it up? By the way, they also own a large dog who they let out into the backyard once or twice a day and don't clean up after it. Many thanks.
There is a huge pothole in the Monroe Convention Center auxiliary parking lot, just west of the b-line trail, and just north of the paved road that connects the two parking lots. A request for snow removal practices going forward. The location is where South Morton ends at the Convention Center overflow parking lot. Vehicle traffic is stopped by three yellow bollards, but many pedestrians and cyclists use this road to enter the B-line from Morton St. In past winters, snow plows push the snow into a large pile that entirely blocks off the end of S Morton St, so even pedestrians can't pass through. In the past, I have shoveled a pathway through, but it takes hours depending on the size of the pile and how frozen it is, and I have to redo it every time plows come through, and I go through at least 5 snow shovels per year since they break from the amount of snow I need to move. Now I have a back issue, so I can no longer shovel a path through. Can you please coordinate snow plowing so that the end of S Morton is not entirely blocked? Maybe a smaller plow (like they use on the B-line) could work with the larger plows to keep the path as open as possible. Thank you.
Another snow report for yall! I previously reported this issue in ticket #206983 on 12/01/2025. City and County snowplows create a large mound of snow where Morton St meets the convention center parking lot, near the B-line. Yellow bollards block car traffic, but pedestrians and cyclists use this intersection to get on the B-line. So now we can’t pass. And it’s like 5.5 feet tall. Thanks for that Fern. Even with my back I tried shoveling again but the snow was too compacted for me to move effectively (and perhaps I should go to the gym lol). For the short term, is it possible for a smaller plow to try clearing a path through? I hope this berm isn’t stuck here til springtime. In the long term, I have a few ideas: 1) have the plow on Morton street plow southward as much as possible, so only the short stretch north of Smith ends up at that intersection (I know there could be other logistical factors I’m unaware of to make that impossible) 2) have a smaller snow plow (like used on the B line) ready to go in the area, so it can go back and forth to keep the path clear even as the big snow plows pile up the snow. Idk I’m not a city planner so I’m sure there are reasons my ideas wouldn’t work, but I hope yall can come up with a solution to keep this path clear. Thanks for your work in managing the snow. It’s a Sisyphean task. In the meantime I’m going to work on my back and go to the gym so I can shovel better next winter.

Milling down 1' strips less than .5" at the curb and not milling at all in the middle of the road. The "repaving" here is just piling up over an inch of fresh asphalt on top of un-milled asphalt. This raises the grade of the road, which also means curbs are now effectively lower and storm drains that should be at grade are now sitting in a pit of asphalt.
