Allendale is literally falling apart. Though the city patches potholes seemingly on a weekly basis, the road needs to be resurfaced. 1 inch cracks appear everywhere, and I mean everywhere. Though cars don't notice 1 inch cracks, bicycles do. This is supposed to be a designated bike route.
road has been torn up real bad during the winter with large craters in the middle of cul-de-sac of cutter court. Called in yesterday and was told road will be fixed today, but has not happened.
I received a phone call today saying that the potholes I reported last week had been repaired. After inspecting the area at around noon I found this not to be the case. I suspect the person who evaluated the situation was noticing that some alley repair had been completed in the spring/summer at the street entrance however about ten to twenty yards up from the street entrance is where the problem area is. Old pavement has crumbled away and cars are bottoming out. To remind you of the location, this is the first alleyway on the south side of 6th street east of Adams. It is a very high traffic alley way due to the fact that there is off street parking for several apartments on Kirkwood behind my house (1221 W. 6th). If you follow the alley way around to the left (exiting on Pine Street) you will find many more problem spots. I hope these issues can be addressed soon before the really bad weather arrives. Utility cuts across N Crescent Road need patched & leveled
There is a large deep dangerous pothole at the intersection of Cory Lane and Bloomfield Road. If you are turning west off of Cory onto Bloomfield Road you can damage your car.
water is draining on Bloomfield Road near the Sportsplex light.This creates ice as it did last week. I notified the ciry of this a YEAR AGO and NOTHING has been done.This is a bad drainage problem, water flows onto the street and flows down the hill, going west. All of this water is freezing - near the traffic light and further westbound as it trickles down the hill. When I called a year ago nad reported this, the public works person said she had no idea to whom to give this information. Clearly, she gave it to NO ONE.
