The crosswalk needs to be repainted on E. 10th St. that connects Woodbridge Drive on the north side of 10th St. and the Woodbridge complex on the south side of 10th St., Bell trace is also there. Countless people are crossing the street there to get to and from the bus stop on the north side. Also adults and children are crossing the street there. It’s a pedestrian and car accident waiting to happen. The crosswalk is completely faded. out. Cars goes so fast there. It would also be helpful to have signage. saying pedestrian crossing.
Saturday 7/26 Pili's Party Taco was parked in an ADA meter DUNN100-ADA from roughly 8:30-10pm. This space is also in violation of the Mobile Food Truck Vendor permit.
As the weather warms up, there are more and more bicyclists on the sidewalk on the square one just nearly ran over my toddler and me. I told him he was in a dismount zone. He asked where that was posted and I was unable to find a sign with that information. If that has not been repealed, it needs to be better communicated and enforced. Thank you.
I use this route to take my children to school every single day of the week. I have noticed that if a vehicle is turning left from either direction off of E 10th Street they usually have to wait for oncoming traffic that is going straight through the light. This backup undoubtedly causes panic and frustration in drivers trying to make it to work or school in time because the line can be quite long. The solution for most drivers that I've noticed is to go straight through the light utilizing the Right Only turn lane. It doesn't take a genius to realize what can happen when someone unexpectedly blows through an intersection. The other issue is if the car turns left then you have 2 cars simultaneously going straight through an area that is meant to be one car. Today alone I watched 4 cars use the right lane one after another and almost cause a multi-car crash. This is especially dangerous because this area has a high volume of pedestrians feet away who are trying to make it to classes at IU. I have personally witnessed and almost been part of more accidents going in both directions at this intersection than anywhere in my entire life. I would like to offer some solutions rather than just complain. 1. Have a designated left turn lane instead of a right turn that people will inevitably blow through. 2. Add a left turn signal so one car don't hold up all of the traffic on that entire road causing people to get upset. 3. If you don't want to do either of those then at least install a sign that states the right turn lane is ONLY for right turns because people obviously don't understand what an arrow on the ground means. 4. Post a police officer here for about a week and I bet you'll see some changes. He is going to be busy though with all of the traffic violations witnessed. I would generally not even give this a second thought, but I travel this road everyday with my children to and from school. It is actually mind blowing how many close call accidents I have witnessed at this exact spot. Please look into this matter for the safety and well-being of your community. Thank you for listening and have a great day!
Right green traffic light on discovery parkway heading to Pete Ellis on 10th is out. Red light works. Unsure about yellow.
Right-hand northbound green bulb is not working for traffic coming from Pete Ellis.
Intersection of E 10th St. and E. Discovery Parkway has no crosswalk or pedestrian signaling. I have noted numerous people sprinting across from the bus stops adjacent to the USPS building and Fountain Park Apartments. It appears to be a busy enough pedestrian area, whether it be to access the College Mall area, get to the post office, or otherwise make it back to one's home.
