Hello, my name is Ben. I am incredibly disappointed in the Bloomington community for housing an abusive business like Anthony's Pets in our College Mall. Recently, a petition has brought to light testimonials describing the neglect and suffering the animals at this location experience. From feces covered cages to animals being preened with steroids to appear healthy, it is evident that Anthony's keeps these animals in deplorable conditions. This progressive community should not and does not support this business existing in our city. I'm urging you to take Anthony's out of the ever so popular College Mall. Thank you! There are cars repeatedly parked on the sidewalk at Firestone Auto 3rd and Walnut. This is occurring on a daily basis. This is a busy intersection and a horrible place to force pedestrians into the road. The city needs to find a resolution to this problem. Sending a parking enforcement officer over does not seem to be working.

Hello, I'm not sure if this is the correct area or not. But, we need to something about the police. Every call I have had with their dispatch has been rude and now I read in the IDS that they laughed at the person that called in the flyers. I get it, I'm sure they get stupid calls. But they are often callous, rude, and blatantly mock and discredit you when you call to report suspicious activity or other issues. They say report suspicious activity and promote their community policing yet this seems inconsistent with their actions. It's frustrating.

Hello City of Bloomington - I want to suggest that you learn about and advocate for the City to join the Government Alliance on Race and Equity (GARE) - https://www.racialequityalliance.org. It's a national network geared to local and regional government agencies. We know white supremacy is a systemic problem, not unique to B'town. The City should work in coalition and learn from other govt. entities committed to progressive social change. Mayor Hamilton and other City leaders know about GARE but have never joined. We're not a progressive city. BUT we could make a serious move towards being one if we take bold, strategic action. Joining GARE is a start. Thanks for taking seriously this suggestion. Here are some failures: 1) high speed internet 2) clueless about military vehicle acquisition 3) UDO and more generally his `3-ring binder' nonsense 4) mismanagement of farmer's market strife I have never voted for a Republican in 38 year but I'm writing to the GOP to see if they can put forward a moderate.
