Web Form: Hello City of Bloomington - I want to suggest that you learn about and advocate for the City to join the Government Alliance on Race and Equity (GARE) - https://www.racialequityalliance.org. It's a national network geared to local and regional government agencies. We know white supremacy is a systemic problem, not unique to B'town. The City should work in coalition and learn from other govt. entities committed to progressive social change. Mayor Hamilton and other City leaders know about GARE but have never joined. We're not a progressive city. BUT we could make a serious move towards being one if we take bold, strategic action. Joining GARE is a start. Thanks for taking seriously this suggestion.
