IC 9-21-8-5 does now require that motorists provide three feet of clearance when a motor vehicle passes a bicycle or electric bicycle, effective July 1, 2019. However, uReport #169222 was reported to have occurred on 6/29/2019, so the law was not in effect at that time. Therefore, there was no violation of the statute on of 6/29/2019.
