Sidewalk on Montclair along Southeast park, as well as the trail running through the park still haven't been cleared of ice and snow. All the surrounding property owners were able to clear their sidewalks in a timely manner. I believe the city is responsible for the sidewalk along the park.
if it is possible to plow this trail for snow removal during hours of operation, i would be most appreciative
I'm giving the City a $50 citation. It's been more than 24 hours since the snow stopped and the B-Line Trail along the 2nd Street Kroger is snow covered. Unacceptable. This is not the only part of the trail like this. Great work. With more snow and continued cold weather, the problem won't just go away. Grab a shovel, let's go.
Why is the city incapable of not parking on the sidewalk? You also still haven’t fixed the issue where images don’t attach to ureports properly. It’s a photo of a city truck blocking 100% of the sidewalk in front of building trades park. Glad I’m not in a wheelchair
Poison ivy growing on sidewalk leading up the path to the park from Highland. This was reported by my husband last year and we believe someone just cut it off it’s coming back again and needs to be treated.
There are holes in the ground where the small, wooden fence used to be along Sheridan Creek in Bryan Park. Several of these have not been filled since that fence was removed. Friday evening, my dog tripped into one of these holes. She has developed a limp since and will need a veterinary exam Monday. These holes are large enough that a dog/ child/small adult foot can go into them. They have become covered in leaves and difficult to spot. The holes are on the north side of the sidewalk between Woodlawn and the park restrooms, at least.
Pictured above: the view from a bicycle seat as cyclist (on a bike path/sidewalk) approaches the circular loop at the southern end of the Grimes/Patterson parking lot. (Note: the problem I want to highlight is similar when cyclist is heading south towards that "roundabout" from the north on the bike/ped path). And the problem is this: a cyclist can easily not notice until too late that there is no curb cut to allow easy entry to the loop. YES, for safety reasons, the city probably decided NOT to be a curb cut there. Fine. BUT PLEASE, consider a very visible barrier so cyclists can see in advance that they should not proceed forward OR, at least, put some bright yellow paint or striped yellow-black paint on the curb as an attention grabber. Needed on both the south side of the loop and the north side. THANKS!
I am a Certified Arborist through the I.S.A. While inspecting trees for Dr. John Labbon today at 2736 E. Brig's Bend I noticed that the city Maple tree to the right of the driveway entrance has co-dominant leaders. The 2 leads are already splitting and the smaller lead will fall onto the city sidewalk where a person walked by while I was doing the tree inspection. Dr. Labbon would like the tree removed. The red maple tree (site id 30159?), along the street at 2320 E Woodbine Ave. is not healthy and is becoming a hazard. The top of the tree and many branches are dead. This evening (2/16/23) a large limb fell out of the tree and onto the sidewalk. I tried to attach a photo of the large limb, branches and debris on the sidewalk, but it keeps processing and won't go through. We have cleared the debris and limb from the sidewalk.
The trees in the city tree plot on this street are blocking parking spaces and making sidewalk travel nearly impossible.
