While constructing the Bike Path on the portion of E. Arden Drive to SE Park, crews did not remove the heavy mats blocking storm drains at the corners of S. Williams, Greenfield & Sycamore Courts. When heavy rains appear, water flows into E. Arden Drive, oftentimes ponding in low lying areas. People often drive too fast on that street, causing hazardous driving conditions should they loose control of their car.
Last night (Friday, 19 June), I removed several mats covering drains on Queens Way at High St, just south of Wimbleton on High St, and on Arden near High St. They are part of the Jackson creek Trail Phase II project - but given the immense rain, they were causing dangerous street flooding (several feet high). They will need replacing.

So my driveway and the sidewalk has been completely gone for a month now, without any notice from the city. Progress... It has been replaced with loose gravel, a mess of heavy equipment traffic, and ... nothing for many weeks now. My wife cannot drive her small car over this mess without bottoming out. I haven't been able to drive my motorcycle over this mess because it's too soft for a full touring bike. The contractors spend all their time making an even bigger mess of soft gravel. Mayor Hamilton: when will you make this virue signaling mess a priority? I want my front yard back. I want my driveway back. I want my sidewalk back. FINISH IT SOON.
11 weeks now without a driveway. No driveways completed within 2 blocks in 2 weeks. Am still dealing with mud and gravel for the entire summer. WHEN WILL THIS SANDBAGGED PROJECT BE DONE? 3 city blocks without driveways since memorial day. Hamilton you are dead to me.
There's a precarious dropoff (7-8') into the drainage creek just a few feet away (east) from the sidewalk on RCA Park Drive just north of Countryside, and a few yards into Susie Street. A barrier of some sort to provide added safety would be advisable. Thanks!
So you're doubling the width of the sidewalk from 5ft to 10ft for a recreational path. Great. But does that mean you've also doubled the amount of sidewalk I'm now responsible to clear of snow in the winter? Should I be dumping tea into Lake Monroe?
Deer cross S. Rogers St. daily in one particular location, on the north side of the 2129 S Rogers St property. An increasing number of cars fly down the road all day and lots of people use the sidewalk so its a risk not only to the deer but to motorists and pedestrians. I am requesting a deer crossing sign be installed on both sides of the road. My mom lives at 2219 S Rogers St. and we frequently see deer and their babies nearly get hit (and have been hit). If you face 2129 S Rogers, you will see the area on the far left side of the property where they cross near the trees. Thank you for considering this signage. I have sent this in a couple times and it still has not been addressed. There are shrubs/trees overgrown into the road and it is making it dangerous because cars are swerving into the middle of the road to miss it. It has made it very unsafe for those walking in the neighborhood. The city trimmed it back a year or two ago and that helped. I would like for it to be trimmed back again. Thank you.
