Ever since the city installed curb bump-outs for on-street parking some years ago, drivers have been blowing out tires and ruining wheel hubs at the southeast corner of Maxwell Lane and South Fess, usually as they are driving south on Fess and turning east onto Maxwell. I know this issue has come up before, and various solutions have been tried, but something more substantive needs to happen -- either reduce the projection of the curb or get rid of the bump-out altogether. I would estimate 15-20 drivers a year hit this curb. Yesterday, it happened twice. One driver was lucky and just blew out a tire. The second had to call a tow truck, which we see over and over again. Each driver thinks he/she is the only one to do this, so they don't think to tell the city. Please do something to fix this problem. It's costing people time and money on a regular basis. Thanks!

The sidewalk from here all the way to the pedestrian crossing at Olcott sucks. It's an awful garbage sidewalk. There's been several reports about it being unsafe, and it's constantly blocked by vegetation. It's narrow and precipitous in places. Anything wider than a sedan risks clipping pedestrians.

An area of new sod immediately adjacent to the sidewalk and between the sidewalk and street has collapsed (in some places to a depth of 9 inches) in such a way that it is unsafe for bicyclists or pedestrians who may veer off the sidewalk even very briefly. We believe this sod was laid after the ground was dug for installation of the fiber cable for Gigabit Now. We (University Baptist Church) are not certain of the best agency to contact about the problem, and we are hoping that you will either take care of it or direct us to the correct people to contact. WHEN will Millstone finish this infernal "path" project? My driveway has been gone for well over a month and it's a mess of almost impassable soft gravel and mud. The easement is an eyesore and my wife can't get her car out of our driveway without bottoming out on the street edge. It's been like this since MAY. Who approved this mess???

Hi. I live at 1418 S Palmer Ave. We are supposed to be able to park on the street in front of our house. However, the gravel has washed away and left a ditch that is impossible to park in (towards the far end in the photo). The result is that, when we park here, our cars are sticking out into the street more than they should be. Last week, my roommate's car was hit while parked here, which could in part be caused by this issue with the street parking area eroding. We are hoping that the City can come fill it with gravel or pave it so that we can park here without worrying about our cars sticking out into the street and getting hit. Thank you, Hannah

There's a precarious dropoff (7-8') into the drainage creek just a few feet away (east) from the sidewalk on RCA Park Drive just north of Countryside, and a few yards into Susie Street. A barrier of some sort to provide added safety would be advisable. Thanks!
