On the north side of the newly-paved 7th Street, between Dunn and College Avenues, there are numerous locations where sewer and water drain covers are sinking into the ground...it is excessively bumpy, hazardous and only going to get worse unless addressed immediately.

Almost got into an accident TWICE thanks to the new white traffic pylons you put up blocking off 3rd Street where it becomes a one way on campus. I've had two cars pull out in front of me off of Mitchell street because it used to be a lane they could pull out onto but now it's blocked off for seemingly no reason whatsoever. Really unacceptable.

I would appreciate having someone who is in authority to come out to view traffic on East Third Street. But it shouldn't be the idiot who decided to turn Third Street into a 2-lane road. As traffic is moving east, we first have a race between the two lanes to merge into one by the time they reach Clarizz Blvd. Then, folks who attempt to access Third Street from any road between Clarizz and Smith Road have to wait anywhere from 2 to 20 minutes just to get into the lane of traffic. God forbid if they are making a left-hand turn! This silly traffic pattern has completely destroyed the continuity and flow of traffic, all so you could put bike lanes in. Now, I must admit that since they were put in I have seen two bicycles in the bike lanes - one traveling east and one traveling west. Way to go, planning crew! When can we expect the city to reverse this mistake??

Traffic Related Complaints

Case Date:

Backups on N. Smith continue for left turners. Particular concern that the State is not putting in a signal at 10th and Smith with new eastside developments. Left turners from N. Smith already yield instead of stop, creating dangers, because of inability to frankly stop due to small gaps in traffic. A signal or other traffic measure for safe left turns from N. Smith is needed. People will be using that gateway to get to the new hospital site. Same with buses. May be State intersection but City needs to advocate appropriately. Plenty of capacity exists on 10th, IF you can get onto it. Correct this danger before needless deaths occur.

Euclid / Second north side right of way next to sidewalk w 3-4 foot tall plants that make impossible AND dangerous to attempt left turn left heading east on to 2nd St. Please cut down this hazard before someone gets injured or killed. It’s challenging enough

Street & Traffic Signs

At 7th/Morton, the “new traffic pattern” sign is *after* the intersection. It should be located *before* the intersection to alert folks that cross-traffic no longer stops.

The property at 708 S Adams St. is in a very run-down condition and it is at times being used by homeless people and they have been caught carrying property out of the house. The police have been called on these issues. However, our church Adams St. Chapel own's the propertiy connecting with this house at 712 S. Adams St. and are concerned for our pastorial family who have recently moved in that there could be issues with people living in and coming and going in the 708 residence. We would like to get it boarded up or condemed so that it is off limits to anyone and we would feel much safer. Please let us know if anything can be done to get this place condemed as unfit for anyone to live in. The lady who lived in it was admitted to Golden Living Nursing Home and her name is Margret Lamb. I don't believe she owns the property but maybe she could tell us who does and they can be notified about the current problem. Thank you. We will be waiting to hear from you. Mrs. B. White
