These people keep parking on the sidewalk and driving in the yard.
There are holes in our line: one under the sidewalk, one under the street. They need to be fixed ASAP (we discovered the holes when a plumber was clearing a major clog the holes caused) and we need to know whose responsibility it is to take care of the issues under the road/sidewalk. The estimated cost of repair is incredibly high, and we're trying to find out what options/assistance might be available. Thank you for any information you can provide!
Hello! I work at WonderLab Science Museum. We were wondering what would be needed to improve a curb that is on the west side of our building in the front. It goes into an alley that school buses use. Bus drives have a very difficult time getting in without hitting the curb. This curb also has an accessibility ramp that does not line up with the rest of the side walk on 4th street going west (due to the entrance to the parking garage of the neighboring residence). The curb cut is currently closer to the alley way than on the corner of the sidewalk. We would like the ramp to moved to the corner of the curb for accessibility and bus movement. An oversized cut on that corner would be ideal. Thank you!
Fallen limestone blocks, weeds, broken sidewalk, fallen branches, leaves, this sidewalk is a mess and the owner should at least be told to clean it up.
Hello, I am writing to inquire about whether the sidewalk on the east side of S. Jackson St. between 3rd and 4th streets can be repaired. As a person with a visual impairment, I have a terrible time walking on the sidewalk in this location, which is in the block where my house is. The sidewalk is very uneven, with tripping hazards throughout its course due to decay. If I didn't have a visual impairment, it would certainly be easier to walk on this part of the sidewalk, but I know that others with no visual impairment also have a difficult time because of the deteriorated surface. Thank you.
There is a paved alley behind the 200 block of South Maple Street that at least 8 residences use as the primary means of entering and exiting their homes. It is impossible for me at 214 1/2 Maple Street to actually exit onto Maple Street because of the narrow drive and the snow accumulation. Please kindly consider plowing this alley.
Hi, just putting a request in for snow removal for the alley I live on if/when you're able to get to it. My house is in the alley between Kirkwood and 4th, and there's been no plowing here since it began snowing a week or two ago. It's normally not a big issue other than the ice that builds up and makes walking dangerous, but after this storm I'm pretty well blocked in completely. The complicating factor is that this is a fairly narrow alley, with a drainage ditch at one point that can make navigating it with large equipment dicey - I wouldn't recommend anything bigger than a pickup with a plow come through, if you are in fact able to dispatch anyone here anytime soon. I understand that even if you can it may be a while, but wanted to put the request in regardless, as the postal service is having a less than ideal time getting down here and the snow compacts into ice if it isn't cleared. I'd very much appreciate it if you can make it, even if it won't be for a bit. Many thanks either way!
The street view is fully obstructed by weeds at the intersection of Euclid and 2nd street. When going South on Euclid and attempting to make a left hand turn (east) on 2nd, you cannot see oncoming traffic to your left due to vegetation between the sidewalk and the road. I have almost gotten in an accident twice at this intersection due to pulling out and jot seeing an oncoming car which was blocked by the weeds. This is especially a problem for cars versus trucks due to the height.
The street tree at the SE corner of the property has limbs that hang low over the sidewalk. Would it be possible to have it trimmed up so that walkers can use the sidewalk without having to duck down? Thanks!
