I found one of the mailbox banks (mailbox E) at the Adams Village Apartments was found with the panel doors completely open. I cannot tell if the Post Office person failed to shut the doors or if someone broke into the mailboxes. There is mail for several residences exposed currently.
I am a neighbor of this address. Twice in the past year, the two dogs who live at this property have been in the street and charged me and my dog. On another occasion, one of the dogs charged the property's fence and attempted to bite me by reaching *over* the fence. I have reported two of these instances to Animal Control. The last time (when the dog attempt to bite over the fence), the Animal Control officer told me that he had explained to the owners that their fence violates zoning by being too close to the sidewalk, and that the owners had expressed an intention to remove the fence in the front and keep the dogs in the back. However, I have heard, "We keep the dogs in the back" multiple times, when that is not true. The Animal Control Officer suggested that I could contact the city's zoning office, to have the fencing issue in the front yard addressed. I cannot find a way to contact Zoning specifically, so I am submitting the request here. FWIW, other people have had encounters with these dogs, though I don't know if they have reported it. While visiting Bryan Park on 8/9, I observed mowing with a gas engine lawn mower of grass already at a very low height. Greenhouse gas emissions are a concern from unnecessary mowing, and the area being mowed was very large. For a city with a sustainability office, one would expect either the use of electric lawn equipment and/or mowing only when necessary. Please consider training staff to mow using environmentally friendly practices.
This entire length of Covenanter (Kroger to Clarizz) has several severe potholes. Some are new since this winter but a large one near the Covenanter Hill office (3101) has been there a while and is particularly bad.
There is a massive pot hole in my apartment complex. I am unsure if you are the authority to have this repaired or if my leasing office has to make the request - but the hole causes damage on people's cars!
The potholes going into The Village are INSANE. I have called and called the office and have yet to get a clear answer as to when these multiple potholes would be filled. One of my friends works in the office and said they are aware- and are also aware they are 4 inches deep. The road going into the complex is very narrow and now filled with potholes- making it impossible to avoid them. These will cause very serious damage to my car.
Pardon my candor, but Bloomington utilities is a joke. They are obviously very understaffed. The phone recording has been the same since before Christmas. They are constantly missing recycling pickups. This office needs a major overhaul. We pay more than enough taxes to cover this basic utilities service.

Walkway that runs west off of the end of Homestead Drive onto IU health office property. There is a drainage cover just off thenorth of the middle of the walkway, and it is regularly completely covered up, which causes flooding of the entire area, including into the IU health parking lot as well as the east end property owner of Homestead Drive. Can someone look into why this is constantly blocked as well as cleaning up the sidewalk which is currently completely covered with debris.
An area of new sod immediately adjacent to the sidewalk and between the sidewalk and street has collapsed (in some places to a depth of 9 inches) in such a way that it is unsafe for bicyclists or pedestrians who may veer off the sidewalk even very briefly. We believe this sod was laid after the ground was dug for installation of the fiber cable for Gigabit Now. We (University Baptist Church) are not certain of the best agency to contact about the problem, and we are hoping that you will either take care of it or direct us to the correct people to contact.
