There is an encampment to the east of Somersbe along the access road that runs parallel to Rogers Road that is hazardous and toxic. Earlier in the summer this was reported anonymously for fear of retaliation. Apparently 3 entities own the property - the city, county, and a railroad. All that has happened so far to address this problem is a huge dumpster being moved to the access road and MORE people moving to the encampment when Switchyard Park was cleared. I am sending a plea for clean up. I am not representing specific people in the Somersbe neighborhood, but alerting your office to the issues that have been discussed. This morning open fires were burning along the access road. There is garbage, human and animal waste, unleaded dogs, along with illegal camping sites. At the beginning of June 2024 police were called because of a disturbance including threats of murder, and the fire department was called because of all the smoke. Our backyards are no longer safe, it is difficult to sleep with open windows or be in our yards or on our decks because of the smoke, screaming, and safety of being chased. This apparently happened to at least 2 residents this summer. A dumpster does not equate to crisis management. It is difficult to communicate when we have to do it anonymously for fear of retribution. I am not being redundant, I am providing documentation.

They’ve been told Not to camp. 20/30 tarp by 2 trees, looks like it's an apartment with all their tarps. Witnesses defecate, Shoot up (drugs) Just wants his city back. This unnecessary, gas station-style light seems far too tall and way too bright for this context of a residential neighborhood. It shines brightly into my second-story bedroom window (see photo) and wakes me during the night. No one living on this intersection wants it here. Bright outdoor light in the summer also disrupts firefly mating, causing their population to decline. Please remove it—or replace with a much shorter, *much dimmer*, insect-friendly, amber-lit lamp post, ideally also befitting a historic neighborhood. Thank you.

So I applied for a gun/concealed carry permit. I paid the fee, then got my fingerprints. They told me to go to a sheriff so I went to the sheriff's office at 301 N College Ave. They said I had to go to the office on 3rd street. I went there and the building was closed so I could not complete my application. What do I need to do from here?

The mailbox post that is shared between myself and two other household (renting from same person) is so rusted that it no longer seems safe. Should the landlord of the two other homes be notified? Who is in charge of replacing it, and how can this be done? It seems that if the very rusty pole is removed, how will the new one be installed? Further up the street, people installed mailbox posts in large buckets of concrete. Does the city really want this? By the way, the property where the post is installed belongs to my neighbors - whose mailbox is on Guy street. I appreciate your help with this matter. Dana
