The house at the corner of Clifton and E First Street (I think it is 713 Clifton) often has 2 dogs in the yard that ferociously bark at pedestrians who use the sidewalk there (there is no sidewalk on the other side of the street). I walk there after dark occasionally and the first time they just about gave me a heart attack. I was afraid the German shepherd would jump over the fence and attack me. Maybe something for an animal control officer to take a look at.

There's a very aggressive red-winged blackbird along the trail at Miller-Showers Park across from the Pepsi trucks and First Insurance Group. This is the third year in a row that such a bird has disrupted this part of the trail. I saw a red-winged blackbird attack other folks as well at this same place last year. I'm not sure if there's anything that can be done, but I wanted to make sure the Parks Department was aware in case there is.

Dead squirrel at the base of the Arden Place sign at the location indicated on the map. Squirrel appears to be roadkill that was moved right next to the side of the road under the Arden Place sign. There are many children and dogs walking in the area so it would be much appreciated if the dead squirrel could be removed.

This evening, 6/22/20, approximately 7:30pm, my wife, 9 yr old aughter and I were walking on the streets in our neighborhood (Grandview), when an off leash pit bull charged and tried to attack our 10 month old English Springer. The pit bull was , again, off leash and it’s owner did not have any control of this animal. Somehow, the pit bull kept narrowly missing in its attack of our puppy but knocked me down during the melee. This could have had bad outcomes. Our other dog, a 4-yr old female Springer, was also walking with us, not to mention my daughter and wife. I and my family were quite shaken up. I’d like Animal Control to talk to the pit bull owner. Their address is 3620 E Grandview Dr, Bloomington 47408. Being attacked on the street is dangerous. That dog should not be off leash and able to charge at people and their dogs on public streets. We have an older population in our neighborhood. Only by grace did my dogs and family not get hurt.

Can we start to have a conversation about the deer population in this town? I walked Sussex Dr yesterday and counted ten deer (!) in 3 groups: doe and 2 fawns, doe and 3 fawns, doe and 2 fawns - all within 2 city blocks!! As we approached the first group using the city sidewalk the mother agressively came after us, stomping her foot. We had to cross the street and walk very slowly to avoid her defensive aggression. This is all well within the city limits. Why should I have to fear them when I'm walking around my own neighborhood? They've already forced several of ourneighbors to install concentration camp fencing to protect their landscaping. Many of our other neighbors have all their landscaping in cages. I like watching deer, too, but come on now - at this point they are pests without a predator to keep them under control. Have we gone too far? Culling is in order. Note: I didn't even mention the costs of hitting one with a car or motorcyle.
