Thank you for all your efforts to resolve the issues reported. It seems a never-ending and thankless task. Your efforts are not unnoticed. I wish our fellow citizens took as much pride in the city as our city staff.
I am not finding where to record my concern of the proposed jail. It should not be in a highly populated residential area that includes an elementary school. There has to be a better location. The one property was rejected due to wrong zoning. I know that zoning can be changed. If it proceeds in this populated area and property values go down, will taxes go down also? Comment concerning public input on projects and surveys Greetings! I was wondering if it would be possible to have a page on the city's site that conglomerates all public input for surveys and city projects? During 2020 there were/are several surveys (MPTO, Climate change, etc.) and projects for public input (hospital site, 7-line, etc.). My thought is that it would be convenient for the public if there was a link on "https://bloomington.in.gov" web page that links to a web page that has all active surveys and city projects that are taking public input. The mulching "pilot" confuses me. Several people I know participating have always mulched. So how is this a pilot? I'm happy to sign up to say that I mulch, as I do, but getting people who already mulch to say they like mulching and they were part of a pilot just isn't true? Amy I supposed to sign up? Or just folks who want to try mulching instead of bagging leaves for the first time?
The city giving a "prize" for the mulching competition of an opportunity to buy a subscription service to a for profit company that proudly partners with anti LGBT chik fil a is messed up. Rethink your plan.

This specific incident involved a Lime scooter, but I urge you to please ban ALL motorized scooters from Bloomington. My family and I were just coming back from the airport yesterday when we saw a young woman collide head-first into a car in cross-traffic (without a helmet because of course, none of these scooters come with helmets) because her brake stopped working. This was no one's fault but the manufacturers'. But given how much they make, I'm doubtful much will come out of it if she were to take legal action. There have been so many accidents (some fatal, as you know) in so many cities, including ours, due to these companies dumping scooter after scooter onto seemingly every busy sidewalk, and it is completely within your control to ban them here--after all, Indianapolis did. I would like to know your reasons for allowing them to continue to be used in Bloomington when we know how dangerous they have and will continue to be, as long as they are on the streets.. Just how many more accidents must we see and hear about until something concrete is done?
