The tenants of 501 E 7th St and 310 N Dunn St have had daily parties, morning and evening, for several weeks now that involve twenty+ people and loud music audible inside other apartments. Several noise complaints have been made with police each time it occurs, yet police have never actually showed up and the parties continue. They are in violation of Bloomington’s noise ordinance each time, but seemingly the police department refuses to enforce it.
Car has been sitting there a couple of months has a busted out back window on grant north of 16th st
It is 10:10pm on Saturday, February 20, 2021. There is some sort of machinery making all sorts of racket in the area over around the police shooting range property or the city utilities property off of Gordon Pike. This is a constant, ongoing problem. Why is there this noise after 10pm? This is absurd. Can the City not figure this out and put some reasonable restrictions on the use of these properties? The properties are not zoned for construction equipment like this anyway. Do citizens need to take the enforcement into our own hands and start investigations and collect evidence and file lawsuits to permanently enjoin this ridiculous behavior? Figure it out.
The vast majority of cars do not yield to pedestrians looking to cross the street using the crosswalk at the intersection of 3rd and Grant. Oftentimes when a car in one of the lanes yields to a crossing pedestrian, cars in the other lane will not yield and drive straight through the crosswalk when a pedestrian is attempting to cross. My concern is that eventually a pedestrian who thinks they are safe while crossing will be struck by a driver not aware of the law. I think Bloomington PD could generate a lot of revenue from tickets in just one day by having someone monitoring that crosswalk. Putting in a new sign that says the law is to yield could also be a solution.
The amount of speeding on Kinser Pike is ridiculous, especially for a school zone. At least I thought it was, the school speed limit zone sign was removed last summer for some reason. Any time of day or night, multiple cars speeding.
The high speeds cars drive on Kinser Pike are crazy fast and it's any time of day (morning, evening, middle of the night). I'm honestly afraid for my 3 year old's life as much as I keep her out of the road. The hill/blind spots before my house really worry me. I don't know if we could have more patrols out here or a speed check sign. I know there was a school speed limit sign in my neighbors yard that has since disappeared.
Abandoned vehicle. I would have taken a pic of the plates for you, but it's a string of cars that park there and the car behind this one is literally pushed up against the other car, so the plate cannot be seen. At least the first three (there are usually four cars) have been sitting in the same spot for at least a year. Debris is all around the vehicles because a street sweeper cannot clean there, and grass is growing under the vehicle(s).
Cars speeding on stands drive between Rogers Rd and Olcott park. This occurs especially on weekdays a little before and after 3:00pm. Thanks.
This renter had these piled up attracting mice when there is already a rodent poison battle going on - this is a wildlife area an owl could be poisoned by dead mouse - now he is blocking the sidewalk a federal violation. I DO NOT want Oaklawn HOA knowing I reported this. You need to get with your web department when I post a photo it does not load the image
