I biked downtown this afternoon for a trip to the public library. Upon arrival I discovered that every space in the bike racks surrounding the library were taken by Veo scooters. Attempting to move a scooter to park my bike was extremely difficult, as the scooter wheels immediately locked up, and scooters are simply to heavy to lift and move.
Allowing a private scooter company to completely monopolize all available bike parking around the public library is not acceptable. Why is this allowed? Could the rules around scooters in the city be reviewed and this specific issue addressed?
To clarify, I don't believe users had parked the scooters here. It seems as if they were deployed and staged in these spots.
Thank you.

Grass clippings! Hazard! The southbound lane of Woodlawn along Bryan Park has grass clippings all over the right 1/3 or 1/4 of it. The park got mowed and a city employee left grass in the road. This is a danger to all the cyclists, motorcyclists, and scooter riders. Can we get that mower operator a leaf blower?
This happens routinely around the park and on Sheridan and Southdowns in the multi use paths. Very careless and dangerous for the city to leave debris in the road.

Greetings.
I'm aware that the Lime scooters have a barcode with a unique identifier on them. This is akin to a VIN that vehicles have and which Parking Enforcement uses to issues tickets. I imagine the other shared-use motorized scooter company's have unique identifiers on them as well, because how else would the companies keep track of their products? Why then does the City not work with those, essentially, Vehicle Identification Numbers (VIN), to issue citations to then send to the companies? I know the business license states the companies are to require their users to photograph the scooter when done and parked. What is the point of that? Why is this photographic evidence not being used by the scooter companies to then pass down the enforcement to the user since they are supposed to have received proof of them parking correctly? Can someone please speak to this subject matter? I have been confused about the City's stance on why it is so difficult to enforce the rules around parking the scooters.
Thank you for your time.

For the love of god, PLEASE clear all brush, trees, grasses, anything growing into the side path on the west side of Sare Rd and the side walk and side path on the east side of Sare Rd from Moores Pike south to East Rhoher Rd. Both sides need cleared and cut back. Someone came out and cut back ONE bush that was overgrown but the rest of the problems down the path were barely touched and continue to reduce the side path to half it's original width. Same just north of Rogers and Sare traffic circle, on east side of Sare. It's been like that for years with little to no response to ureports or work actually being completed. The stretch north of Rhoher on eastside of Sare needs mowed REGULARLY. It is also severely angled, has rough broken surface and is not safe for anyone using a wheelchair or electric runabout scooter.
Please send someone out that can take care of our tax dollar community investments. Thank you.

I live in Garden Hill trailer court and there is a scooter that has been in my sight for a week now. I live in 132, and looking west out my window, it is parked in front of an empty lot on the last road before Curry Pike. I know it's not supposed to be there. Hoping someone will come pick it up...

On September 20, 2022, I was riding my bicycle on the 10th street trail near the eastside Post Office. I saw a man on a scooter coming toward me, in the middle of the trail, riding very fast. I maneuvered to avoid him and crashed my bike, rolling onto the pavement and grass. I was hoping my hurt ankle was only a sprain, but I could not walk on it. The next day, I went to a walk-in orthopedic clinic and learned my foot was broken in 4 places. I am still recovering. Please include this instance in any records the City keeps about scooters. Although a ban on scooters is unlikely, some limits on speed and place may help reduce incidences like mine. Thank you.

About ten "Bird" scooters are parked on the street on Grant just north of 7th. There is no scooter corral at this location, and they are blocking a parking spot for cars.

The pavement breakup at the intersection of Winslow Farm Drive and So. Highland is really getting awful. I am almost unable to cross that area in my mobility scooter to access the sidewalk to Winslow Sports Complex. Also, a pothole has developed at the SOUTHERN intersection of Moss Creek Drive and Winslow Farm Drive. Several other intersections in Winslow Farm also could use maintenance.
