THANK YOU for keeping the path clear of leaves this fall. It has enhanced our walk each day. We also appreciate the two new "bridges" across the path where water used to stand. Very nice. I'm wondering if the southern most "bridge" will get a railing of some kind. It seems a little precarious for walkers who might lose their balance. Thanks for considering this safety feature.
About .5 mile into the rail trail is a large homeless camp (off Country Club) from the entrance. The sites continue to grow & pop up. There are multiple concerns with this. 1. Contamination with the water by litter, human waste, & drug paraphernalia. 2. Affects to wild life through trash & humans inhabiting their homes. 3. Land is affected by litter & drug paraphernalia such as glass pipes & needles. 4. There are safety concerns with children playing in the creek due to human waste & drug paraphernalia being in the water, they could get diseases from contaminated needles or step on glass pipes. 5. This is a dangerous location for the homeless as they are in a flash flood location. It has completely flooded out on 2020 & 2019. 6. Safety concerns with those using the trail or those who live in the neighborhood on the other side. One of our tenants contacted the police for fear of someone being outside of his home in the middle of the night. We have also noticed foot prints being outside the windows when there was snow on the ground. We can send additional photos it needed & have also reported to Rebecca Swift. Unit 3502 Oaklawn Circle. These tires collect standing water which breed unnatural amount of mosquitos which can deform a baby in uterine and birds that eat mosquitos are in decline due to pesticides. Unit 3402 Oaklawn Circle
The trucks auto arms have punched a hole in my trash can. Every week it gets worse. Now rain water and critters are getting in the can. I think the department should replace this.

I have lived at my address 5years And since December of 2022 my husband's been on dialysis at home we acquired quite a bit of medical waste as he treats 5 times a week. The problem I'm having is I made a agreement with the supervisor of sanitation to take 7 bags of medical waste for $20. When I got my bill It was seventy dollars When I called about it I got a phone call back and they said some other things had been placed outside of that 7 bags and that's why they. Charged me the $70. We live on a fixed income and they justified it saying that some people get 3 or $400 bills of trash when students move out. I thought there was a cap on it evidently that's not the case. I don't think it's fair that I can't go get another trash service because I live in city limits. And there's no other way for me to get rid of this medical waste. I can't even make a statement by not paying the $70 because then my water will get shut off and he needs water for his machine. Things worked so much better when you bought trash stickers and popped them on the bags you needed to get rid of big mark up to pay $10 now instead of $1 AND Pay for your trash can.
