There a many locations in the neighborhood with shoes hanging from wires. We have attempted to contact the various utility companies, but can be an extensive hassle because they insist on there being an active account at a particular address for them to start a service call. It seems the shoes are mostly hanging from ATT lines, but there are some other communication lines (coaxial cable) and also some electric lines that are being weighed down by shoes. This problem extends at least from 8th to 15th streets, and between Washington and Woodlawn, and is mostly visible in the alleys though some wires passing over streets are also cluttered with shoes. It makes the neighborhood look so trashy. Is this an actual crime? If so, should the police be called if it is witnessed? Would it help if a complete set of locations were sent to some office?

There is a parasite going around at the Ferguson Dog park. I know of a dog that has contracted Giardia over 6 times. Someone needs to post signage around the park to let people know the dangers of not picking up after their dogs and more poop stations with more bags so we can make it easier to hold the pet parents accountable. I have tried to tell other dog owners to pick up after their pets but it has not succeeded. Please do something because pet parents like me can't take out dogs while there is an issue like this. A friend and I have even gone to the length of going throughout the park and cleaning up the entire thing. However it has not stayed that way. Please do something so not other dogs have to get sick and potentially die.

Please inform me what BPD is doing to directly address this danger to the public safety of this city. Thank you. Marnina Patrick) I took Captain Pedigo up on the suggestion to contact the ISP and am now sharing the replies I go: "Thank you for taking the time to send us a note of concern for drivers utilizing celllular devices while driving. We have listed the statue below for your review and will forward you concern to the commander of the bloomington district. If you see a violation, please don’t hesitate to report the driver to your local police/sheriff's office or the closest ISP post." "The bloomington police department is still responsible for traffic infractions even if they have staff shortages. Police departments throughout the nation are experiencing staffing shortages however still continue to serve the public."

I found this company online and was looking into their products. I found their official Reddit page, and it seems as if they discharge firearms into an empty barrel inside of their shop. Is this safe? Is this even legal? Can just anyone do this? Can my neighbors be doing this? An area of new sod immediately adjacent to the sidewalk and between the sidewalk and street has collapsed (in some places to a depth of 9 inches) in such a way that it is unsafe for bicyclists or pedestrians who may veer off the sidewalk even very briefly. We believe this sod was laid after the ground was dug for installation of the fiber cable for Gigabit Now. We (University Baptist Church) are not certain of the best agency to contact about the problem, and we are hoping that you will either take care of it or direct us to the correct people to contact. Please note, I left a voicemail for this issue today, apologies for the redundancy. My name is Rachel, and I work for Mackie Properties in Bloomington. Our company manages the Batchelor Heights Homeowners Association, which houses the address I am reaching out about. Over the last three weeks, multiple residents have contacted our office to report pet-related issues occurring at 3725 S Cramer Cir. These issues include not cleaning up animal waste in this property's yard or around the community; an altercation in which a large, unattended, unleashed dog belonging to the occupants of this property was witnessed chasing another resident who was walking their leashed dog nearby; the occupants keeping their pets in their garage and leaving the garage door partially open; a potential pig being kept at the property; and allegedly, these residents left their front door completely open all day Saturday, January 15. The resident who reported that last issue attempted to inform the occupants that their front door was open by ringing the doorbell, but they received no answer. They could hear dogs barking and growing inside, and they could smell urine coming from inside the unit. After this, they contacted emergency services to request a welfare check for this property. We are concerned for the animals being kept at this property and the safety of the community. We have attempted to contact these residents and the homeowner but have not yet been successful. A pothole at the Y intersection as you turn off Post Road onto Meadowlark in the subdivision of Grandview Hills.

Approximately 30 yards eastward from the stop sign at E Post Road and N Staats St, in the westbound lane of Post road, is a 12" wide by 33" long rectangular indentation originally dug by a contractor and then filled in. The fill has since subsided by one to two inches throughout. Hope it can be topped off to make a smoother street.
