To whom it may concern, The following describes multiple code violations from Chandler Automotive that I noticed/experienced during the process of retrieving my towed car from their site. I have video/audio evidence of the violations, and I would prefer if someone reached out to me so I can submit these as proof. It will only allow me to upload images through this submission form. Thank you: BMC 4.32.140(b): Called the number at around 5:30pm to ask to retrieve car, employee stated that she will not be able to get my car until about 9:30/10pm. This is in violation of part 1 of section B, as well as violation of part 2 of section B, since this was well outside the sixty minutes. I recorded the phone call where the employee told me 10pm. Please reach out if you would like this evidence. BMC 4.32.140(f): The invoice, see attached, is not itemized correctly pursuant to the requirements of I.C. 24-14-5-1. The invoice is missing/incorrectly accounted for the following: - I.C. 24-14-5-1(4)(D) - No VIN number. - I.C. 24-14-5-1(4)(C) - No year. - I.C. 24-14-5-1(5) - License plate # is incorrect. - I.C. 24-14-5-1(C) - No explanation is given for the additional charges incurred, which is required here. BMC 4.32.130(a)(2) - The company attempted to charge me $185 for the tow. One $25 charge being a go jack fee, and the other being a dollies fee. Since a go jack fee is a special fee, the total for those should not be $50 according to the code, but a maximum of $25. They corrected this upon me providing them a copy of the code. However, I have audio recording of them attempting to charge me that amount, and being unable to explain these additional charges. BMC 4.32.120(a) - As stated above, the towing company failed to comply with applicable state law in the invoice. BMC 4.32.120(e) - The vehicle was not able to be claimed upon calling at 5:30pm on 4/18/2024. Please reach out for a copy of the evidence as I am not able to upload it here. These laws were created by the legislature with the intention to be construed strictly due to the stated purpose of this chapter being to protect the public from unconscionable practices (BMC 4.32.010). Please reach out to me if you have any additional questions. I plan on following up in fourteen (14) days if I have not heard back from the city on this matter by that time. Arrived at bus stop on Allendale at appointed time. Bus should be there by 2:34 pm. Waited until 2:40 and then searched `Spot'. According to Spot, the bus was at the maintenance facility. Then I checked website. Website was down. Then I called BT and asked for representative. The call was dropped without being answered. Will be contacting my city council rep about this one...

Please consider a stop sign on Southdowns and circle drive. People come up westbound on southdowns heading around the corner very fast. We have many walkers and children and it is a blind curve.

Who's running this city?? The parking ticket fees are outrageous...!!! $30 is a punitive money grab, not an appropriate parking ticket. If you want the stores downtown to stop shutting down, and you want visitors from out of town to enjoy this town as a tourist destination, stop charging exhorbitant fees to park and exhorbitant parking tickets if a meter goes slightly over time.... half the storefronts on the square are empty... maybe stop being penny wise and pound foolish, milking people who live here and want to shop downtown with outrageous parking tickets. I'm going to call the mayor's office about this as well.

Every time I come into that clerks office I am treated like complete garbage I do not work 100+ hours a week and then go in their to be treated like that the ladies in their give me a lot of sly and Rhude comments and don’t even answer my questions and it really makes me upset and I would just like to let you know it really pisses a lot of local town people off how they treat everyone especially men, seems like a woman only environment and I would like something done about it.

Alley on the north side of 112 W 6th Street, Bloomington IN: there is a guardrail installed, the base is utterly deteriorated, very loose to the touch, poses a danger to pedestrians and any vehicular traffic brave enough to use the ease and/or north alley. Needs to be repaired. Thank you.

adam See case #188221. Electric bicycle lying by the street. Which City Department is responsible for removal? How long can it stay there before it can be removed by anyone and sold for scrap?

Is the City responsible for retaining walls alongside walkways or does it fall on adjacent property owners to maintain them? On the Lincoln side of this property there is an old wall that is just about to collapse. It seems that if a team of masons got in there now prior to its failure, they might be able to take it apart somehow and reset it so that it will last another 130 years. But if it were to fall on its own, the stones would likely all break up and be useless trash. Property owner (Parker Rentals) is aware of the potential problem, but they do not seem to care. The surrounding area has many retaining walls that add character to the community. It would be great if this one could be saved.

Our ask: Please retrench or otherwise definitively fix the water issue flowing from the high side of Brooks drive (addresses: 1213 and 1215) to the low side (address 2110 east Covenanter drive). Why: When heavy rains occur, high side water floods our yard and garden, resulting in 6 hours of work in clean up. History: In 2017 or thereabouts, the residents of 2110 east Covenanter reached out to the city regarding the water flow issue. At that time Phil Peden was the team lead. He showed me that the high side of Brooks had previously been trenched and there was piping under Brooks drive leading the water to Jackson Creek. He approached the 2 families in hopes of re-trenching, as he said it was the city’s responsibility to manage the water issue, as they had previously. Unfortunately, Phil was met with extreme resistance. To minimize neighbor impact, Phil’s team did trench some, and resolved 30% of the flow issue. He and I had a verbal agreement that I would try efforts on the low side of Brooks to protect my property from flooding. It seems that with the heavier rains, there remains a major issue of flooding despite years of my best attempts. At this time, I would appreciate further attention into this matter and a sustained / definitive fix from the city. Additionally, rocks from 1213 gravel drive continue to migrate across Brooks and deposit in my yard. I have been sweeping them back to their drive.
