There is a sewer access in the verge in front/slightly to the west of 930 w 6th. It looks like it has overflowed with sewage waste. It has happened a couple of times before and I believe it was cleaned up but this week it overflowed badly again and there’s currently no cap on the pipe.

I hope that you can assist me in resolving this issue promptly. Upon reviewing my recent bills, I have noticed a significant discrepancy in the water consumption. In the month of April, the recorded consumption was approximately 30 gallons, while in May, it unexpectedly increased to 35 gallons. These figures are undoubtedly incorrect, as such a volume of water cannot be reasonably consumed by a single individual. To address this concern, we immediately contacted our leasing office, as we suspected a possible emergency situation or water leakage within our house. They promptly responded by inspecting the property thoroughly but found no signs of any leaks or abnormal water usage. This observation leads us to believe that the issue may lie with the meter or its readings, as it seems to be continuously running even when the house is unoccupied. Given our status as students, it is financially burdensome for us to pay the exorbitant amount of approximately $1000 for water alone. This kind of billing discrepancy is highly abnormal, as it greatly surpasses our electricity bill, which amounts to approximately $100 per month. I kindly request your immediate attention to this matter and urge you to investigate the issue thoroughly. I have attached a copy of the bill for your reference. I believe it is essential to rectify this situation as soon as possible to avoid any further financial strain on our part. As can be seen in the photo there are three dry creek beds (swales) feeding the area where the runoff water is pooling during a heavy rain fall. Cause of the pooling is the drain through a small ridge is eroded and clogged up. City needs to remedy this issue.
Each time I enter 219 E. 8th St. to find the trash/recycle day, that address is not recognized!
I am physically disabled live alone. Moved to this (section 8) reside in November. I am unable to mxnsg the parts to my disability. So my rhuematologist submitted a letter stating g my issues s the employees sh do the trash/ recycle CARTS will bri g them back to.my yard/porch sftrvesch pickup. To date this has been done once! I get caretakers who do so for me often but in the event they forget or I do not get one my trash/ recycling carts sit at the road risking causing harm to other motorist if fall over. Which oftentimes happens to I am on a slope/hill. The manager might hold me in lease viol as well!
Rogers Street was closed between 3rd and 4th St. last Week, and I went through the Alley just West of Rogers Street, and there are 4 Cars parked with no License Plates, possibly abandoned, and a Trailer with crap on it parked there that look like they were there when the Garage was built. Someone needs to look into this.

Greetings. In my experience, as well as observations, it does not appear that there is much, if any, enforcement of the Hands-Free Driving state law that went into effect in 2019 in the City of Bloomington. There also doesn't seem to be much accountability to that law as in my experience, the person who rear-ended me told the BPD officer she hit me because she was looking at her phone, but following too close was on the citation and not distracted driving. Why is that? I was told that he didn't want to put more than one reason down. Well, why not distracted driving as that is what she admitted to? Also, there doesn't seem to be any sort of a public safety education campaign in any way... I could imagine that the social media accounts would be a great place for a weekly, bi-weekly, or even monthly Public Safety Announcement (PSA) for some friendly reinforcement, reminders, remedial lessons, etc. about the laws that provide structure around driving a couple ton heavy potentially lethal machine around these safe and civil streets. I think Bloomington motorists need a few reminders on some general laws about operating a motor vehicle, especially the hands-free driving state law. Can someone please speak a bit to this concern of mine? Much obliged for your time.
