At this and other intersections along the bypass, there is not sufficient signage for cyclists and pedestrians using the sidepath. The "walk" sign only turns on when you press the button, instead of automatically turning on with the green light. And because of the insufficient signage, drivers seem unaware that there is a side path, and frequently block bike/pedestrian traffic and make dangerous turns into people entering the crosswalks.

On more than one occasion on a Wednesday morning, there has been a COB garbage truck coming through Sherwood Oaks neighborhood at a high rate of speed. I have witnessed this at least twice. The second time was this morning (9/28/22), at approximately 6:45am. The truck was travelling down Bainbridge from Allendale, and turned left onto Elliston Dr. At the 4 way stop at Bainbridge & Elliston, the driver barely slowed down & completely disregarded the stop sign. Then the driver went down Elliston speeding, presumably down to the park to get the trash there. I witnessed the truck coming back up Elliston a few minutes later, still driving too fast, and disregarding the stop sign again. I know it's early, but kids are picked up at the bus stop at that 4 way stop just a few minutes after 7am, and throughout the neighborhood. We also have a lot of people out exercising in the mornings, & there are no sidewalks on Elliston. Please address this with your staff, but feel free to contact me if you have questions or need clarification. We love our neighborhood & want to keep it safe for everyone.

At 8:35 this morning, a Centerpoint Energy truck was idling in the bike lane, blocking both lanes so I had to drive in the street, even though there's that big electric sign not far from that spot that says No Parking in the Bike Lane. There was a dude in the front seat reading an ipad or something.

I have contacted the city of Bloomington and Indiana University concerning electric scooters and bikes predominately used by IU students. The scooters especially are extremely dangerous as and a hazard to all other forms of transportation including pedestrians. There is also one specific e bike which is privately owned and used by a driver in all black clothing usually while riding in the Bloomington Rail Trail at least going 30 mph or more. To get rider has no regard for others and risks harm to many elderly, children and families who use the trail. This person should not be allowed on the trail. I have been to several other communities who have restricted use of these hazardous vehicles through the use of geo-fencing, security and other methods. Ever since 4th St re-opend (one lane, then all lanes) people/vehicles are constantly RUNNING the STOP SIGN northbound at 4th & Lincoln. I walk through this intersection at least twice each day. Many just blow through this intersection without even looking. It happened, again, this morning. I was half-day across Lincoln going east. The go-straight lane stopped, but the turn right lane did not even look my way and went ahead and turned right without stopping. The stop signs are clearly visible. What the heck?

There is a homeless encampment in the woods across the creek immediately behind my home in a residential neighborhood. A matter of feed away from my property. I have sent a letter/email to Mayor and Dep Mayor with no response. As the leaves fall, I will be staring at the encampment and they will be staring right into my home. I have to regularly call the fire dept due to fires at the encampment. I have to listen to them scream, yell and fight. I am also a licensed rehabber and am terribly upset with the way they have ruined the wildlife territory. The woods behind my home is one of the primary reasons that I bought my home almost 10 years ago. I am worried for my children's safety and well being (as well as my own) as the encampment grows. I am devastated that there is now a potential that part of those woods will be removed due to the encampment. There is also a daycare 3 houses from mine as well as several children who I have seen play around the woods and should be able to without fear of an encampment and being hurt. I will happily provide any needed info, picts I have, etc.
