The net on court 2 of the pickleball courts is damaged and unusable. Looks like a pretty easy fix.

IU students are returning which will put even more pressure on the RCA pickleball courts. There are six permanent courts there (one with broken net) The Bloomington Pickleball Club has offered to put temporary lines on the tennis courts to add 6 more courts. There are a number of temp chalk and paint products out there that will do the trick short term. The lines will not affect the ability to play tennis (though no one really plays tennis here) The BPC has temp nets we can put out at least on weekends to help with the crowds. I suggest the city also adopt some court rules for how the courts get shared when there is a large crowd. Let’s get ahead of this before it becomes a bigger problem in a few weeks!
Street light is out on the corner of Rosewood and Tulipwood.
At the intersection of E 3rd St & Hillsdale to the north & Woodscrest to the south, the traffic light is disproportionately lengthy for the traffic traveling on Hillsdale/Woodscrest. The majority of the traffic goes east/west on E 3rd St., yet the light stays red/green for an excessive amount of time relative to the traffic that passes in the respective directions.
This alleyway is in need of re-paving of the potholes, the worst of which is at the point where it meets 2nd St and smaller ones in the alley.
Net down at RCA park. If looking at this picture the standard in the right is broken at the top. The wheel that allows the net to be tightened has come off. Nineaybtonhold net up. We have programming for the Bloomkngton Pickleball Club tonight 8/8 would love to have up if possible. Thabks
There are two lamp post lights out on the south BLine trail. One at post 10 and the other at post BL27. It poses a safety risk when the area is not well lit. Thank you for fixing this issue.
We live in Southern Indiana. My daughter moved to Carmel last year, so Bloomington is a good middle point to meet. She charges her Tessla at Fresh Thyme off of 3rd Street and we see numerous homeless people coming out of the woods and standing on street corners to the point where she doesn't feel safe charging her car there. On Sunday we went downtown to eat and encountered homeless people yelling on the street corners. The 9 y/o we had with us got an education we hadn't planned on him having! In the 2 hours we were in Bloomington, we encountered 15 homeless people! Hopefully, the city is taking steps to help their homeless population.
The street light is out at the corner of Forrester and David. Thank you for replacing it.
5-6 shopping carts and tons of abandoned clothes/trash etc in the middle of the day on tues (11:30am) at seminary park. If people are truly monitoring area they need to have them return shopping carts and pick up their trash!
