The Bloomington Police Department investigates after a city transit but struck and killed a woman near the bus station at the corner of Third Street, and Walnut, Thursday, September 26, 2019 in Bloomington, Ind. Police are not yet releasing the name of the women pending notification of next of kin. BPD Police Lt. John Kovach said, "At this time preliminarily it appears that the city transit bus was pulling out of the station when the victim was struck. She is a deceased. It is a female. I do not have any other information, age, or name or anything that we're going to release at this time, obviously due to next of kin notification. So at this point, the investigation is ongoing with our accident reconstructionists. I do not know when any information will be released for the accident. Powerline for lights running along 2700 N Walnut Street is down laying in the bike lane portion of the road. In between Speedway gas station and Furniture Exchange.

Eastbound left turn light is always activated even if there is no left turning traffic, so westbound traffic has to wait to continue straight

Regarding two street lights along college mall road, I am confused why they cycle in the way they do. The light at Buick cadillac and college mall typically runs green equally either way when the traffic on college mall road is by far more busy. Likewise the light between 2nd and 3rd street is cycled equally when again the traffic along college mall road is much busier. Their frequently is a line going south that gets stuck on 3rd street because of the constant backup of traffic caused by this. I am sure there is reasons for the different cycles programmed for the lights, but these two just does not make sense to me. Thank you for your time.
