Since the dismantle of 2 homeless camps last week they seem to have migrated down the b line to a wooded area in a residential area within a block of a boys and girls club, and 3 blocks away from a middle school. between 11th street and cottage grove ave on Summit st. The city just towed a few abandoned cars from this street a week ago. Now their is more cars that people are clearly living in. They are setting up tents and seating areas like its their living room, theirs tents popping up in the woods along this road, and the TRASH and SMELL is getting out of hand. This is becoming a safety hazard for children who walk home from the school and boys and girls club in the surrounding areas as this is a school zone. The people residing in this "camp" scream, argue, fight, and curse loudly at all hours of the day and night. They block traffic loitering by the cars and scream at any car that tries to get through them, and have animals who are leaving droppings everywhere and no one picks it up. This is also encouraging people to start parking rv's in this area as well, and it is turning into "skid row". PLEASE do not let this camp get set up and get as bead as the two you just dismantled. It will be harder to get them to leave the longer you wait to address this. I have found several syringes in my yard along the alley so their is clearly drugs being used and distributed at this new homeless camp on SUMMIT st. in between 11th st & Cottage grove ave. Right across from the gas station on 11th. thank you.

There is a syringe along the road about half way between 6th and 7th on Oak street. It is right across the street from the very large sycamore tree on the west side.

Hello. I am a Bloomington resident residing at 110 1/2 W 6th St. My apartment entrance is in an alleyway off of 6th between Walnut and College. While this alley has normal amounts of debris, there seem to be many unsafe wires dangling from the various poles and buildings. My main concern is with the alley behind my building. The entrance is off of Walnut between "Btown Diner" and "Samira" restaurants. There is an abundance of trash, grease, vomit, bugs, defecation, and cigarettes throughout the space that causes a repulsive smell and attracts many rodents. This is a very unsanitary environment that workers from the businesses(restaurants especially) on 6th Street take their breaks in. I am not sure the best course of action but I would suggest having the businesses clean their trash bins in addition to having the city power wash the grease and other various fluids off the pavement. Commercial tent is setup, possibly distributing electronic devices. The sidewalk is blocked by traffic of customers. City curbs shouldn't be used for private commerce without permit and traffic plan.

The alley behind our house does not have any lights in it at all. Not only does this make it a bit unnerving and dangerous to walk there at night, but it also makes it a very easy target for unwanted visitors. Last night, one of our bedroom windows was broken in and when we looked out back, we were not able to see anybody running away since there are no lights in the alley way. By adding a few lights to the already existing utility poles in the alley way, it would hopefully prevent similar incidents from happening in the future and make it much safer for all of the residents that use this alley on a daily basis.

There are not any street lights in the alley behind my house. We had a break-in this week in the back of our house, and I think having street lights in the alley could have prevented it. Being back there at night is very creepy, and anyone could come attack us at night when we are trying to get in our back door. For safety reasons, I feel like it is important to that back there.

In light of a lot of recent attempted home invasion activity along this block, having street lights in the alley between 10th and Cottage Grove is a necessary safety measure. It is incredibly dark in the alley and a perfect target for home invasions.

The back of our house was broken into a couple of nights ago (all doors locked and while we were all home) and we feel as though if the back alley was more lit up it may have deterred the suspect from approaching our home. There was also a very similar situation of an attempted break in last week two houses down from ours. It is extremely dark in the alley, especially with the wooded area being back there - perfect for people to hide in. We would feel a lot safer if lights could be installed asap. Thank you.

Tree over grown around light. Street light not providing enough light. Safety is a concern. Multiple night incidents reported in the neighborhood. There needs to be more lighting around these area added. Very dark Very dark and dangerous at night. Particularly around 3260 N Ramble Rd E & 3300 North Ramble Road Court, Bloomington, IN 47408. A street light in that location is very much needed. I bike every evening there, and can attest to it being a dangerous intersection at night.
