The construction at 1020 East Maxwell Lane is very disruptive. There is a lot of noise from early morning through the afternoon. Trucks beeping, sawing... Since I am working from home, the noise really interferes with my being able to work effectively. There are so many trucks parked along Manor Road that people have difficulty driving down Manor. The large dumpster they have on Maxwell Lane, blocks the view and makes turning onto Maxwell rather dangerous. More trucks parked on Maxwell add to this challenge. This construction has been going on a long time.

Do private contractors have an obligation to clean up the street? This house on Southdowns (between Manor and Hawthorne) was paved and the street is a mess. It is not just stained, there is a lot of loose debris on the road from the paving process that could be cleaned up. Can the City contact the homeowner to find out who needs to get back out here to clean the street up and make their job site presentable? Thanks.

Hello, I'm a second-year tenant of a house on S Woodlawn Ave. The walk home at night is very dangerous because there are no street lights once you get south of Atwater Ave. As a larger man, I luckily do not have to worry as much as about being abducted by any predators. However, I still worry about getting struck by a car because of the lack of visibility on the streets and sidewalks. We have guests that are women that fear coming to our house at night because of how dark the street gets and they could easily be abducted in the dark. My roommates and I often find ourselves having to walk guests to Atwater for them to feel safe. It is a public safety issue and I'm requesting that street lights are installed on Woodlawn Ave for a minimum of 5 blocks south of Atwater. Woodlawn is a highly trafficked area not only by cars, but pedestrians too. I'm a policy analysis major and would love to be involved in any research or implementation needed to solve this issue. The people who live at 712 E Hunter Ave constantly throw glass bottles from their porch into a dumpster that is not theirs. Most of the time they miss on purpose and shatter glass all through the alley and road making it terrible for me to drive on. I have yelled at them but they still continue to do it multiple times through the week almost every night now. Tonight after their party they threw being loud until 2:30 am they shattered multiple bottles and I watched them throw them straight into the road. This is unacceptable and dangerous to not only our cars but all of the people who walk through here. This has been happening for MONTHS. I’ve tried to let it slide because I didn’t know if it was them but now tonight I watched them throw them straight from their porch. If you drive by the alley by the dumpster at their side door you will see glass shattered everywhere.

The cover/cage of this street light swings down from the bulb. I have reported three lights on E. University St. I walk my dog at night and am very attentive to proper lighting for safety reasons.

I would like to know whether the alley behind my house and 1000-1002 E. Atwater legally continues through and across Hawthorne, as the alley does continue between Hunter and Atwater past Hawthorne. I would also like to know the exact location of the utilities in the alley as specified in 12.12.080.
