Parking on Unimproved Surface
1416 S Palmer AVE
- Case Date:
- 9/5/2022
Cars are parked on unimproved surface on Monday, 9/5 at 11:00 AM. This is not entirely their fault, as there is no room to park on the street - it would be very helpful for residents if the city improved the street and shoulder of Palmer Ave on the 1300 and 1400 blocks to make parking safer.
Because this is a rental property, and there is also a car in the garage, totally 4 cars on the property, HAND should also investigate if there are more than 3 unrelated adults living at this property.

Reported this once but I believe I may have put in the wrong address. I believe the address is 515 S. Washington or at least in the 500 block on the left side of the street. I included a picture to show the violation and location. Thank you for looking into this matter.

The small car on the left of the photo is parking on the grass. It is an ongoing problem for years at this property. Planning has a file. There is supposed to be railroad ties to mark the parking but the tenants and mowers move them. A call has been made to Planning today.

They are covering the entire yard with gravel. Is this not against the planning and zoning codes? Don’t they have to have grass or plants?

Impervious surfaces covering too much of the property! There are terrible problems
with run off due to paving, and this property is adding significantly to the problem.

I am a homeowner here in the city.
Unexpectedly my neighbor trenched
And waterproofed his basement.
The trench was between our houses,
Which are close together.
I asked him if he needed a Permit.
He said no.
Is he right?
