Pickleball nets need adjusted. They need to be 36 in tall at the out of bounds line and 34 in tall in center of net.
Hello, I use the B-Line nearly everyday and have for the past year living while in Bloomington. I have noticed over the course of this summer parts of the line’s gravel running path have become overgrown with grass and tree branches, as well as having been filled by regular dirt. Many people who use the trail for this purpose, myself included, have resorted to running on the concrete. This is a high impact surface which causes pain in joints, especially in the feet and legs. Also, there are many bikers on the trail and the running path allows for myself and others to be out of the way. Resolving this problem will be very much beneficial to those in the community who use the B-Line trail for daily exercise. Thank you.
uReport #176950 submitted previously reads, "The six tall black steel porch swings located in Switchyard Park need to have the pivots lubricated as they are making terrible noises when they're used to swing on." Unless you're waiting on a ladder or a can of WD-40, this ticket appears to have been closed with no action taken. Given that the bearings on the swings are not sealed, it stands to reason that they will need lubrication occasionally. Why not put the task on someone's work schedule?
There are exposed wires in the ground inside the large dog pen at the Switchyard dog park . There are two wire protection covers side by side on the west edge of the pen in the flat. One of them appears to have been damaged by a mower. There were small chunks of the plastic cap all around the area. It might be wise to fix this so that it will cooperate with future mowing. On the trail that connects Olcott Park with the Sherwood Oaks Park and the Goat Farm, the lights along the trail stay on all day. In the past, they would turn off when it was bright and sunny out, but not any more. This has been occurring for the last few weeks. It seems like a waste of energy. Thanks!
The steps from this bridge look like they are not safe. This would not be apparent if you were coming from the north part of the park to the trail south by the creek.
There is an active wasp nest in basketball hoop closest to the the playground and the creek. The nest is underneath the guard connecting the hoop to the backboard.
