Hi, We have a dangerous situation with the two city trees in front of my rental property at 707 S. Washington St. These tress continuously drop very large limbs on cars (damaging them) and on people walking along the sidewalk. Someone is going to get injured! These trees are constantly losing limbs. Can we please get you guys to trim them way back somehow? This particular tree was a bad choice to plant on a heavily traveled street/sidewalk along Washington St. Thank you in advance for your speedy response to this situation.

A large tree fell across the start of the Clear Creek trail at Irie Court near S Rogers & W That Road this morning. It is blocking the trail and will require chain saws to remove. Thank you.

There are two billboards on this parcel N of our neighborhood entrance on N Walnut St to the W beyond the chiropractor’s office. It appears this parcel was once owned by Hoosier Outdoor Advertising so, I’m presuming that once Steve Ferguson obtained it and Parks and Rec is now the owner that both of these billboards can be taken out and until that might happen at least the one with the lights can have those deactived along with any service. It would be perfect if this area would then be able to gain native trees to add our Tree City USA canopy and Haskell Smith would be able to increase our diversity with new trees followed by native shrubs et al that will be most welcomed over any likely invasive bush honeysuckle et al along this main coordinator into our City and from the N into Cascades Park along the E side of Old State Rd 37 or Dixie Hwy. Thank you for letting me know if I can provide any additional information that might permit this prime cooridor becoming most appreciated and greatly improved with native trees and plants stepping up our Greenspace cooridors W and E along N Walnut Street. I saw this Walking with Ease sign at Bryan Park. For people with arthritis or poor balance or impaired vision / hearing or other such issues would walk around the asphalt paths with greater ease and sense of safety if some "Cyclists Yield to Pedestrians" signs were posted. This is especially true of the path through the middle of the park, which connects cyclists between the Allen Street Bicycle Boulevard and the Southdowns bike-ped lanes. I would suggest a sign at each end of that path, on the the Henderson and Woodlawn sides. I walk there frequently with my dog and friends. Cyclists approach from in front and behind. We pedestrians usually make room and sometimes the cyclists do. Sometimes they let us know when they come up from behind, but not always. Some signage could end the confusions over right-of-way. Keep in mind that the mid-path curves. That is pleasant and would be safer if cyclists slowed down and anticipated other users. Defensivei cycling, the cycling version of defensive driving. Thanks!

Our property has a large locust tree that has lost several large branches in what we believe is the city right of way. One branch blocked the roadway until we were able to clear with our equipment. It has several additional large dead branches and the entire tree has a significant lean to the street and neighboring properties. It’s located just before our driveway which is actually on Pine Lane. Thank you.
