While it's always been an issue by my definition, the amount of speeding has seemed to have gone way up in recent weeks/months. There are a lot of kids playing in this general area and many of us in the neighborhood are more and more concerned. What can be done?

Can someone in BPD as well as OOTM please read this article and consider how the City of Bloomington may work to make their streets actually safe and civil... Please take note of the quote about their goal. I think Bloomington needs to make the goal of public safety a top and most important priority! This is what the city of New Orleans is doing to help their police department with their staff shortages. 'They will have duties such as monitoring phone and online reports, issuing traffic citations, surveying major events like Mardi Gras and the Essence Festival and even doing some investigative work. Civilians would additionally be dispatched to calls that may not require an officer, such as collecting preliminary evidence, securing loose pets and responding to forgery, certain medical episodes and some thefts, New Orleans Police Superintendent Shaun Ferguson said last Thursday. 'The goal of all of this is to make our officers feel safe so that they can make our citizens and visitors feel safe,' Ferguson said. The curve from Hopewell to 7th is dangerous enough but now the homeowner at the corner has a permanently parked old van sitting next to the house and street. It is almost impossible to see around the van to get around that curve. Kids play on the street while cars fly up and down 7th st. I'm just afraid someone is going to get run over. I'm sure they are not supposed to have broken down vehicles parked in their yards. Thank you for your time
There has been a white Lincoln car broken down on the side of the street with a temporary license plate that expired in September. The vehicle obviously doesn't run and is turning what would be a 2 lane road into a one lane road. Please send an officer out to mark it for removal as its causing traffic limitations on the street. The car is located on South Sowder Sq.
Speed limits are often not observed, especially during higher traffic times of day. It is not uncoomon that I am passed while driving my daughter to school.
a black lexus continues to speed through sherwood oaks on allendale towards winslow. four times now this vehicle has tailgated then passed me on this neighborhood street. license plate number 218CAZ. the car drives through between 7:35am and 7:50am when I'm driving my daughter to school.
Drivers turning old 37 into race track. The attached image of the license plate and black Ford Focus. This guy was racing Two motor cycles on old 37 on Sunday April 23rd at noon. Passed me by Monroe/Morgan State Forest on a double yellow going at lest 60-70mph. I caught up to him at the entrance onto highway 37/i69. Then in all of his genius he went to an egg Mcmuffin emergency at McDonald's in Martinsville..
For the past couple weeks I've observed the same Domino's delivery driver driving southbound on Washington at a fairly high rate of speed between 12 and 10th street. I suspect he cuts west through the alley between 9th and 10th to return to the Domino's location. Can something be done to slow this guy down? This is happening in the evening and nighttime hours.
