When is this city going to clean up all the passed out junkies littering our streets? I can't even shop in my own fucking city anymore. Last night I went downtown to eat dinner and I'm the span of 4 blocks I was harassed for change multiple times, someone threatened to steal my sunglasses, and a man was shitting in a trash can wiping his ass with his bare hands right outside town hall. Seriously when are you going to wake up and do your job. I've lived in major metro areas and have never seen anything close to this. People openly smoking crack, nodding off on heroin this is a fucking mess and someone is going to end up getting hurt or worse.
Its my personal belief that room 112 in the crawford building on south henderson is full of stolen property. The person who lives there,Scotty, claims he get this stuff from dumpsters. Well, from the smell of apt 112, i would agree that much of the items in the apt do come from the trash. 4 computers? Laptops? Jewelry? Who throws away that stuff. Hes got a table saw in his apt and there has been construction around the area for several years. II dont think people throw out table saws that function. Maybe consider a search warrant for Crawford building, apt 112. Ill bet half of the items you find in there were reported stolen. We live at Maxwell Lane and Stull, and take our dog out in the early morning to Bryan park each day. For the past couple of weeks, we have seen the same person in the North shelter in the very early morning, and it appears they are sleeping there. This makes us feel very uncomfortable, and we believe it is against the law. In addition, yesterday, my husband witnessed a marijuana drug deal happening in that same north shelter in the broad daylight, before the two men got into cars parked in that park parking lot (at the end of Stull). Please have police monitor this area more, and go to the North shelter in the early morning to see this person appearing to sleep here.
I'm tired of being solicited by homeless people anytime I walk around downtown. I love this city and I love living downtown but I am hesitant to even walk a few blocks away from my apartment because I'm relentlessly confronted by homeless people. I have no problem with homeless people and I'm willing to pay my part of the taxes to get them steady jobs and homes, but soliciting hard working residents should not be tolerated and the authorities must step in
