Recycling

1306 S Pickwick PL

Case Date:
3/8/2023

Substandard service for trash and recycling pickup. The recycling crew has repeatedly turned the trash bin as if to indicate trash was picked up when it wasn't, and today the left the bin in the middle of the driveway. Why can't my bins be just put pack where I left them by the side of the driveway, as is done with all the other houses on our street? Perhaps we should just return the recycling bin, and save the money, and put everything in the trash?

Today I've decided to complain about an issue I started regularly noticing months ago. Whoever is now collecting trash &/or recycling on our street, S. Eagleson Av, in the section between 2nd and Sheridon, is routinely dumping the recepticals on their sides on the ground whereever convenient. (See photo) This morning they left my neighor's on the ground blocking the entry way to our common driveway. When I came to move it, I realized they had also broken the lid. Then as I drove south on S.Eagleson, I saw that this was done all the way to Sheridan, where I assume the truck turned. At least half the bins were on their sides, some in the street. I took four photos the whole way, as well as two of my neigbor's receptical- Unfortunately your portal only allows a single photo, but I have all the others. Please address this situation. There is no reason the recepticals can't be placed upright, but at least they should be neither broken nor left on their sides in the street, on a sidewalk or in the entrance to a driveway. My recycling hasn’t been picked up in the last two weeks and I am trying to understand why. Is it because of the styrofoam? The styrofoam in my recycling bin is stamped recyclable #6, which according to the lid of my recycling container is accepted.

Hallo, it is common recently that when our recycling bin is being emptied by your crew, several items are being scattered in our [property and the nearby park. Could you please make a note for the crew to be a bit more careful in the future. Thank you

Trash bins left in neighborhood intersection for weeks and the trash or recycling isn’t being picked up. Bins are overflowing and the trash collectors are not picking it up on Tuesdays pickup. The owner of the bins at 1401 leaves them in the intersection full while trash and debris is blown around the neighborhood. The children report it smelling terrible and it looks awful.

Tuesday, May 9 2023 Trash and recycling pickup personnel are leaving bins knocked over and in the middle of driveways. Maybe need a refresh course on how to put the bins back down after dumping them / maybe a new employee. This doesn’t usually happen on our route… sometimes but it’s not usually.
