The alley behind the house has 10 inches of snow, it is impossible for some cars, including mine, to pull out of the garage and exit on the main road. Is anyone coming to sweep the alley? This is a problem for other neighbors as well.
This is actually a "sidewalk" issue - the asphalt walkway that passes under the 10th St viaduct has a small but very deep (feet?) pothole in it - it could break someone's leg or ankle if they stepped into it. The hole is just north of the bridge itself.
For many years, kids have had problems walking to Rogers/Binford Elementary School on the south side of the sidewalk on E 1st St, just before High Street. There is an unused driveway to an empty lot, which is a pool of mud in wet weather. Neighbors have pointed this out to the council before. Neighbors have also come up with their own solutions - putting down boards, etc. I heard a school parent yesterday saying he planned to fill it in with gravel or cement because he had not had a response from the council. Might it be possible for you to repair this gap in the sidewalk permanently? Thank you!
Hi folks---Along Sare Road, south of Moore's Pike, on the sidewalk on the east side of the street, there's a long stretch where the vegetation is WAY overgrown. This is where there is a fence on the side of the sidewalk adjacent to the road so you have no choice but to walk through it. And the vegetation there includes poison ivy, so this really needs to be taken care of ASAP. Thanks!
All of the speed bumps in this neighborhood have been in disrepair since the snow plows damaged them on about December 16.
Once again asking the city to fill in this huge rut that was created at the end of my driveway and in front of my mailbox when Winslow rd was repaved. Previously the request was denied saying it was outside the scope of the project, however, the project created the rut during the project work so I'd like the city to fill it in before snow comes and myself, USPS, and delivery trucks get their tire stuck in this hole when delivering mail and turning right. In front of our home, 2301 E Arden Dr, there is fairly significant erosion taking place along the edge of the road. I know it's hard on the snow plows and it's just crumbling and could use a fresh layer of tar. If you all could please add that to the repair list, I haven't noticed a lot of trouble elsewhere on the street, but we are on a corner, at the bottom of an incline, and near a water drain. I would really appreciate it. Thank you!!!
Large pothole in alley that runs parallel in between Fess and Henderson street, perpindicular between 1st and Maxwell. If you're coming in to the alley from 1st street, the pothole is on your left about 20 feet in. It is huge and now with the snow makes driving down this alley hazardous.
Location: 611 E State Road 45,46 Bypass and 711 to a lesser extent. There is gravel and sand on the driveways of these homes at the junction of the sidewalks. This makes it difficult for the bicycle riders to ride throughout it. I assume it is the responsibility of the owners to clean it up. If you could give them a call, maybe that would help. The 611 address is very bad and the 711 address is moderate. On the positive side, your department has been doing an excellent job of cleaning up the limestone chunks that fall down on the sidewalk further east where you had to cut through the stone for the new highway. I noticed you are going to be doing sidewalk work in our neighborhood...The Stands..specifically the Ashwood area. There is a dangerous spot on the sidewalk right at the Stands Drive and Pierson court...north side of the street about 4 rectangles in from the corner. The block is elevated way off of the ground and is a dangerous hazard. Don't know if you can fit this in with the other work you are doing in this area. Thanks for your consideration. Also the sidewalk, in numerous places, on the west side of the Stands drive between Ashwood Drive and Ashwood Lane is crumbling.
