What is the City doing at Parcel No. 53-08-16-300-046.000-009? The property address is listed as 3410 S Walnut St, Bloomington, In 47403-4523. There is activity occurring on the south side of the property closer to W. Gordon Pike that involves what sounds like an excavator with a hydraulic jackhammer attachment endlessly breaking rocks. It went on for 6-10 hours Monday and Tuesday this week, and is continuing today. Is this a short term construction project with an end date, or is the City planning to do this in perpetuity for some reason?
Broken water line
I am the owner-occupier at 1604 E University St. January 8-10, a water line had frozen and was repaired under the gravel alley that leads to the driveway/parking spots at the back of my house (and 3 other residences). At the conclusion of the repair, the two large holes that had been dug to access the water line had been filled in and some new gravel was spread over them. I do not believe that enough gravel was replaced, as the alley is now incredibly uneven and there are several large low spots that make it difficult to navigate, especially in the recent icy/snowy conditions. Is it possible for the City to add some more gravel to the alley?
I let you know there utilities road work on east 2nd street
I called customer service for City of Bloomington utilities. The first lady I spoke with would not take herself off speaker phone dispite the inhibiting amount of feedback. The 2nd lady I spoke with was unhelpful and did her best to transfer my call away without helping me. I would consider both of the reps behavior to be very rude.
It is nice to have the sewer drains cleared. But they leave the leaves next to the drain and the next time it rains it clogs the drains immediately. It also kills the grass. All for drains at this intersection actually 6 trains at this intersection have a pile of leaves next to them. It was my understanding that those who cleared the storm drains were also supposed to take the debris with them. Please advise.
On E. Reed Court the street drains are blocked by leaves, causing flooding that has made the road impassable to compact cars
There appears to be a leak in the water hydrant on Oak Street between 5th and 6th Street, at the alley. The east side of Oak Street is always wet even when it's not raining, and it's directly across from a hydrant. I couldn't find a place to share this information so please share it with the right group. Thanks!!!
I've been waiting FOUR MONTHS (since July) for the city to move my water meter and connect my new water line to the new water main. The city told me that I needed to do this, and I've spent thousands of dollars to do it. Now it's almost winter. I keeping calling periodically, but nothing gets done.
