Having a lot of issues with the street eroding from storm water on our corner of the cul de sac. Causing multiple trip hazards and a large pot hole in front of drive way entrance. Would like to have the issues assessed and filled or a timeline for repaving within the neighborhood. Thank you
in the back end of our property we have a storm Storm pipe set up between me and my neighbor. This past weekend we had a storm where the pipe was pushing out alot of water causing it to cave in the ground and crowding the sides of the channel. It has been causing the sides to collapse and making the channel wider taking from the land. I placed some rocks to keep the storm water from damaging the channel last year. yet We will need to add some extra rocks to hold it in place since it can't withstand the pressure as shown in the attached image. The heavy rainfall today has resulted again in flash flooding our backyard. The beehive drain in the City's drainage easement within the Brigs Bend cul de sac in Hyde Park is deteriorating around and above the drain structure, with large sink holes with active water flowing in the ground. There is another sink hole developing to the east of the drain with active water flowing below ground. We believe the storm pipe(s) may be compromised in some way that causes flash flooding to occur, over-filling the north and east swales that subsequently fills our back and side yard with flood water within seconds. We have videos of the drain after the storm today showing water draining through these holes in the ground. We believe this is a dangerous situation, particularly with the transformer at the top of the drain open to the large sink hole. This is at 2737 E Brigs Bend and 2712 Olcott.
At the north end of the tunnel under Tapp Rd an atrium grate has been removed from its opening and is lying next to it.
After Sunday's night storm there is low to no water pressure. I have investigated and cannot find or hear any leaks.
Ticket #179188 is now closed - however, the pressure is still low. Will it take time to come back? -Lance
My sewer has been backing up in my basement for several weeks. Roto Rooter came out to identify the problem. They found that my line is "party line" and is attached to my neighbor's line. The lines meet in his driveway and my line crosses through his front yard (see photos). Our houses were built in 1962. I know talking to the plumbers that this is illegal. To make it better, my neighbor is deceased (died in November) and the house is a foreclosure. No family is wanting responsibility for the house. We tried to call the bank to see what to do. The driveway and front yard will need to be dug up to move and replace the pipe. Who can I speak to to discuss how to proceed with this and (honestly) who will help pay for it?
I sent a ureport to you 7-17 before receiving this estimate from roto rooter. It appears they will need to reroute the later to city main sewer and will be cutting the city street as well as backfill per code. Is this something you can help me with?
Dear Madam/Sir, I am writing to report an issue concerning the curb and storm drain located at the southern end of Stratford Dr, in front of our residence (3020 S Stratford Dr, Bloomington IN, 47401). The curb is currently obstructed by leaves, twigs, and organic sediment (as shown in the attached photo), impeding effective drainage during rainfall. As a result, our front yard experiences flooding with every rain shower. We kindly request that the curb and its immediate surroundings be thoroughly cleaned to restore proper drainage functionality. Very strong sewage smell coming from behind the new Hayden Flats apartments. I'm smelling it while on the Rail Trail. It's been happening for at least a week. There is a slow moving stagnant-ish stream there but this is definitely a raw sewage smell.
