I would like to report unlawful practices, and a violation do ordinance of 20-03. My car was towed, without the requirements being met for a non-consensual towing. I had parked, my with the expectation that it was lawfully parked, as there were no conspicuous signing stating otherwise. I retuned to my car 2 hours later to find that it had been towed by chandler's towing service. According to 4.32.110 of the municipal code "it shall be unlawful for any tow business or tow truck operator to tow a vehicle unless the parking lot in which the vehicle is parked has signage, posted in plain view and visible to the public at each entrance and exit" the parking lot where I had parked did not have any signage indicating that the lot was permit parking only. This code, addresses it's intention, that being the protection of the communities most vulnerable members. following this event I have $60 to live off of for the next two weeks.

Hello,
I am writing to make a complaint about the scooters that have appeared over the last few weeks from both Bird and Lime. This past Saturday, multiple scooters from both companies were simply abandoned in Bryan Park, some of which were blocking the sidewalks and paths through the park, some of which were leaning against trees and benches, all of which were eyesores in an otherwise lovely park. At one point in the afternoon, six or so Lime scooters were dropped off on the sidewalk by the Henderson St. lower parking lot by folks from Enterprise Rental, on the sidewalk, where people walk, run, etc.
In Bloomington, we are fortunate to have bike racks everywhere. Would it be possible to require that users and companies place the scooters at bike rack locations? By simply allowing them to be left wherever, users are leaving them around without regard to others.
This is also a bit of an issue with the Pace bikes. A few weeks ago, one was left leaning on the stop sign at Henderson and Davis, when there is a bike rack just a block away in the park.
Thank you for taking steps to regulate these companies in a manner that benefits everyone.

What is the deal with these electric scooters everywhere?? I realize they are fun and also help students (or, mostly students I have seen) get around, but they are literally LITTERING the streets. In one block on my walk to work, there were five scooters parked. I rode my bike to work this afternoon and there were five scooters parked in front of the Indiana Ave. Starbucks, and I had to move two of them to use the bike rack because they were completely blocking the rack. I have seen them abandoned everywhere, including on the trail around Bryan Park. Is the business to put them out going around to collect them at any point? If so, how often are they collecting them? Does the city have rules on these things? Are we supposed to share sidewalks with electric scooters? I am all for alternative transportation, and love the PACE bike program, but these scooters seem to be out of control.

This morning at approximately 8:05AM on October 18, 2018 a guy driving a delivery truck bed full of materials decides to stop at 10th and Rogers with no indication and causes a full stop for myself and a city block full of cars stuck. Rogers is a one way street at this point and because of the height of the truck, we cannot see if traffic is coming down the other way to pass around the truck. After sitting in my car for over 5 minutes and watching the truck driver run out to the construction site with no indication of when he's coming back, I rolled down my window to ask a nearby construction driver if someone can come direct traffic. I realize that's not his job but he didn't even dignify my question with a response. This is frustrating because despite all the delayed construction projects at the city, county and state level, the City has usually been pretty good about these types of things. If this is going to happen again, someone needs to be directing one way traffic flow. Also, I thought this 10th street corridor between Rogers and Morton was also supposed to be open by October 15th but now I see the information is gone from the city website.

When Bruce's Welding was granted permission to build at their present location, part of the approval included "no outdoor storage".
Over the years, the accumulation of "stuff" has grown. The recent addition of steel beams to the steel stairs along North Adams Street indicates that this business needs a reminder of the agreement.
