Approximately 30 yards eastward from the stop sign at E Post Road and N Staats St, in the westbound lane of Post road, is a 12" wide by 33" long rectangular indentation originally dug by a contractor and then filled in. The fill has since subsided by one to two inches throughout. Hope it can be topped off to make a smoother street.
Hello, I am re-developing the property @ 3000 South Walnut. The location is where the former Southern Winds Hotel and Roosters club were located. The property at the beginning a workout facility and a chiropractors office. AS you pull out from the property and are going to turn left (North) and cross traffic, there are two trees located to the north on the side of the road. When cars are coming South and I am turning to the North, it is difficult to see whats coming and that is where the speed limit changes from 30 to 40mph, which is the place many seems to start speeding up. We will have more traffic than ever entering and leaving the property right from the beginning and even more as the property continues to be redeveloped overtime after the initial building and business's are active. A stop light right around there of course would be superb for the property but probably could never happen due to the traffic that occur that comes over the hill when people are traveling South down South Walnut. With that in mind I was hoping the two large trees could be taken down so it is much safer at that point because of the visibility that would open up. One tree is directly in from of the property and the other is directly in front on an older apartment complex that has around 10 apartments in it, it looks like. Would this be possible? Or maybe we could plant a couple new tress which would be much smaller and take several years to grow out? Of course that problem would show up again several years from now but it would take care of it presently for sevevral years. I am just worried about such a great new area being redeveloped for the area and future to have potential traffic issues with people being able to see when pulling out of the property. Our department has an office located at 2599 Fountain Drive. We saw notice today of planned closure at the intersection of Fountain Drive and Crescent Drive. We wanted to be sure there is a semi-accessible detour to reach our building. We have a large project in the month of July that will involve a semi delivering materials to our space over the course of several weeks. Thank you!
There is a metal post with a sign on the train tracks right at the intersection of Indiana Ave and 13th St that looks very frail. In the past wind advisory situations we have had in the city, anytime the wind hit the post, that post sounded as if the wind could dislodged it violently from the base and the sign at the top could fly off into near-by buildings, it even sounded horribly loud as the sign does not seem to be securely attached to the post. When that happened I called 9-1-1 to let them know and asked them to contact whoever is in charge of the tracks for them to look into that by securing that post. However, nothing happened. Tonight, with the tornado watch and the very strong winds we are having, it's the same situation with the post. Because of that, I called the Indiana Railroad Company's emergency number and they said they would email someone but that that would take some time and they were not sure they would get to it that night since they were also in tornado watch.
Traveling northbound on Lincoln Street approaching 10th street: The right hand stop sign is not visible until the motorist is very close to the stop. Also, as you look towards 10th Street, it is difficult to tell it is a busy thoroughfare. There have been several accidents with drivers, perhaps unfamiliar with the intersection, blowing through the stop and hitting vehicles traveling on 10th Street. I didn't realize I could post a photo - I may try to get one as it would be helpful.
Hello I am the office manager at Summit Urology located on McIntire Dr off of Tapp Rd and we have a few concerns 1 being that we have a Surgery Center down stairs and we are going to soon have only 1 way in or out of here. This is a concern due to if we ever need an ambulance to come to the surgery center in the event of an emergency and the road be blocked for some reason it could mean life or death for someone. Yesterday the road was blocked off for 38 min no one could get in or out of the medical park. I find this to not be a good result and need to speak to someone about our concerns.
The traffic on West Third Street is consistently HORRID. The timing of the traffic lights desperately needs to be changed. Especially around peak times, like morning rush, noon-ish, and 5:00pm, traffic is so backed up and the traffic lights are so poorly timed that barely two or three cars are making it through a single light. What should be a 15 minute drive to-and-from work for me (even with some normal peak traffic factored in) but it usually takes about 45 minutes. PLEASE have someone from your department attempt to drive from downtown to the West side of town via W. 3rd street so you can see first-hand how awful it is and how poorly timed the lights are. It doesn't make sense for one light to turn green if the light ahead of it is still red and the cars are completely backed up. Nobody can go anywhere! My car has overheated a few times from remaining stagnant for so long. Please have someone do something about this and PLEASE have someone from your office try it out for themselves during a peak traffic time. It is unbelievable and ridiculous and needs to be adjusted.
My office is located at 2909 S Sare Rd. There was some work done on Sare Rd and a sign was placed by my office but has yet to be removed. Can someone come by to remove it?
