Blocked Street
201–499 W Gourley Pike

The pedestrian crossing at the intersection of W. Gourley Pike & Kinser Pike is unmarked and thus invisible for oblivious passing motorists leading to a number of scary crossings for me. The speed limit is posted 30 mph but Northbound traffic often streams downhill from 17th at speeds more like 40 mph. Despite the danger crossing in my power wheelchair with velocitized drivers streaming in from SR 46 on the other side as well, it is the safest alternative with more severe problems on the Arlington bridge/Colonial Crest route reported separately.

Request for Traffic Calming Devices in Walnut Springs/Grove Neighborhood. Burks Drive between S. Walnut Street and S. Walnut Street Pike is a residential neighborhood that has a high volume of automobile traffic cutting through at high speeds (40+ mph). This creates a hazard for residents in the area that may be pulling out of their driveways, walking (especially the elderly people in the neighborhood), and children playing. Traffic calming devices, such as speed bumps, would cut down on traffic volume and speeds, which would create a safe environment for all.

I would like to request a Caution Children at Play sign and/or speed limit signage for my street. I live on Owens Drive on the west side near the movie theater. We have a lot of traffic go through our neighborhood that miss their turn into the movie theater. There are many that drive as fast as they can around our circle--Wynnedale and Owens Drive--to make it back to the stoplight. There are children in the neighborhood and it creates an unsafe situation with the drivers who are choosing their own speed.
Thank you for the consideration!

500 S Eastside Drive has had trash out on the street since last Sunday. It was not collected because of whatever reason the city put on the notice sheet. It is drawing flies and other vermin. There is also a huge mound of trash by the front door.
