bushes overgrown onto sidewalk
An area of new sod immediately adjacent to the sidewalk and between the sidewalk and street has collapsed (in some places to a depth of 9 inches) in such a way that it is unsafe for bicyclists or pedestrians who may veer off the sidewalk even very briefly. We believe this sod was laid after the ground was dug for installation of the fiber cable for Gigabit Now. We (University Baptist Church) are not certain of the best agency to contact about the problem, and we are hoping that you will either take care of it or direct us to the correct people to contact. If someone chooses to respond to this concern by phone, please note that we have very limited office hours, but they could leave a voice message. Email is actually best. Thank you! I submitted Case #180206 on June 5, but Jo Strong mistakenly closed it on June 9, saying "no sidewalk at this location. I gave the location of the owner of the sidewalk, but the sidewalk is on the south side of their property, while their driveway is on the north side. The overgrown sidewalk is on Fields Drive. Jo Strong also said, "Is address correct?", but there was no way for me to respond. Please reopen this case. I attached a photo (although it isn't showing or acknowledged), but the situation has grown worse since I took this photo.
The beginning of road work at E. Moore's Pike and Sare Road has created a very bad interruption to the flow of traffic. I am wondering if there would be a better way of achieving what the work is intending to achieve there. It is just too much disruption.
Front yard bushes are overgrown, impeding sidewalk foot traffic.
Most of sidewalk blocked by shrubs
Sidewalk blocked by overgrowth. When stopped on Smith line of site blocked. There is also an overgrown fire hydrant, possibly to the same address.
No access ramps onto sidewalks in Sherwood Oaks neighborhood. Individuals in wheel chairs often use the street, which is quite dangerous due to excessive speeds on Allendale. Kids on bikes are also displaced into the street, another danger to to excessive speeds and failure to stop at stop signs on Allendale. Parents with strollers as well struggle with no access ramps.
