Reported by Joanne Freeman to me. Unfinished AT&T fiber project started last summer has left exposed conduit, foot-deep holes and sand fill in rights of way (meaning grass doesn't grow). She wants City inspectors to contact Michael or Sharon Dalton who are the property managers for the subdivision to get this situation addressed. AT&T has been unresponsive to neighborhood contact. Lineal Contracting from Bedford is putting in underground utilities for something (AT&T I think) in our area and left a hole in my front yard (and my neighbors) and took off without filing it in. Haven’t seen them in over a week. I called them but they gave no answers and didn’t contact me when they said they would. All I (and my neighbor) request is they return to finish their work. A complete disrespect of private property. Can you help? Enough is enough with this!!

Two sinkholes have formed, one at the corner of Claybridge Dr and Sare Rd, the other about 30 ft up the sidewalk on Claybridge, after recent neighborhood groundwork that had been done by the contractor for Bloomington Gigabit Now Fiber project. The sinkholes are a hazard to pedestrians and are in need of repair as soon as possible.

The portion of my property with a utilities right of way and that I am maintain is now blocked in a hazardous way. I open my gate as of yesterday May 2, 2024 to a deep 2-3 foot hole that now has 2 large pipes sticking up above ground level constituting a direct hazard to my rightful access. The company (Flagship Underground-phone: 773-964-9045) claims to be laying fiberoptic cable and said they were trying to locate the sewer and gas lines. What can you do to have these pipes moved and/or buried so that they not blocking my gate and presenting a tripping and access hazard? Thank you, Martha Nyikos

Hello, I am wondering if there are plans to finish the bikepath from Henderson along Winslow all the way up to Highland and the Winslow Sports complex. I live in Sherwood Oaks, and this would make biking to work on campus and biking downtown much safer for me. It would be great if someone from the city could reach out to Sherwood Oaks Neighborhood and let us know up sidewalk and bikepath plans along winslow, henderson and rhorer. I would also like to see a sidewalk all the way from Henderson to Jackson Creek Middle along Rhorer.

The intersection of Adams and Kirkwood badly needs left turn signals. My wife and I deliver Meals on Wheels once a month. Our route has us coming down Adams from the north, and then turning eastward on Kirkwood. More than once we’ve found that turn difficult. Mostly it has been large streams of traffic coming toward us, making it hard to turn left. The worst has been when there seemed to be no traffic, but as we were ready to turn left, a car came fast up the hill toward us, and it was not visible until the last minute. Please fix this problem!

There are tall orange cones in front of 521 W. Kirkwood & pink paint marking the lawn & sidewalk. Same set-up across the street. If the city is planning to dig up something--pipes, et, will this affect where the BL Transit can pickup & drop passengers? I catch the bus in front of 521 to go to work. Thanks.
