Street Trees

2481 W Schmalz BLVD

Case Date:
6/25/2024

There is a tree down on Tapp Road (post-storm on the afternoon of 6/25/2024) blocking two lanes of west-bound traffic. This is at the corner of Tapp Road and Vanguard (where it crosses between World Wide Automotive Service and the medical offices for Hospice House, Summit Urology, etc.).

Sewer Problems (Sanitary Sewers)

2402–2998 S Weimer Rd

Case Date:
7/15/2015

While riding my bike on Weimer Rd.; I've noticed on two different occasions the strong smell of sewer gas. A Sewer gas smell to me means either there is effluent top side or there is an over flow into waterway. (Or I suppose something else) but there a definite issue. Exact location is post bridge on Weimer's south end heading toward Tapp Rd. It is also just past the mid point of bridge to Tapp Rd. points. Yes, I know there has been a lot of rain that contributes to these kind of issues, but being that the creek eventually "dumps" into Monroe Reservoir ( our drinking water) Thank you for looking into this. Trails

2315 E Moores PIKE

Case Date:
11/17/2022

Hi, It seems there maybe miscommunication within the chain of command or not a 100% buy-in to "best practice" or a little of both. Report #181846 described a problem and its location. Unfortunately the problem has not been addressed in any way. However, it does look as though some one came through with a leaf blower and cleared the cypress leaves that had covered the trail further up towards Southeast park, next to tennis court entrance and wood post. I do very much appreciate that as the the pavement is very bumpy there in the corner and can cause loss of control of bike or scooter as well as trip walkers. I don't have construction experience but have used a shovel in the yard and that is probably all it would take. Just a shovel and one person to remove some soil blocking the current grade from working properly. If that isn't the solution how about adding a thin layer of pavement so runoff goes the other direction. I believe this was done on Renwick trail, there are patches of pavement here and there. Thanks for your help with this.

Street & Traffic Signs

2231 N Martha ST

Case Date:
6/12/2020

The "no parking" sign in front of this house has been removed (just the post remains). This is right in front of the house where the off-campus fraternity operated in violation of the city's zoning ordinance (which we reported but the city did nothing about), whose residents and guests habitually parked on the "no parking" side (which the city never enforced). Please replace the sign so the next tenants know they cannot park on that side of the street.

Parking Permits

222 West 3rd Street

Case Date:
1/13/2017

I am in the process of planning our office closure in Bloomington and have a question related to the alley that is located to the west of our current building. What would I need to request for the alley to be partially closed for a day or two for a moving truck to be parked there while we move out furniture?

Street & Traffic Signs

2207 E Queens WAY

Case Date:
6/1/2024

Someone must have hit and run the street sign at the intersection of Queens Way and Sussex. The street signs above the stop sign are hanging loosely and the upright post has a slight lean. It would be nice to at least have the street signs re-mounted. Thank You!
