Very narrow intersection when vehicles are parked along sidewalk. Cars driving south on N Fairview toward the intersection drive fast up the hill and cannot be seen by vehicles advancing north on N Fairview if the south-bound car has not yet reached the intersection. Not enough room for two directional traffic because of the vehicles parked on the side of the road.
Blue Buick at 3345 is permanently stationary with no registration I do not know if this is illegal or not. The condo H.O.A. is unresponsive ( Ivy Sells). The owner of this unit is Hoosier Choice Realty. This resident had a visitor that intimidated me in the past . Cars.law.com states an unregistered vehicle in Indiana may not be located on a sidewalk. Hello, My name is Andrew Goodale and I am the manager of the Verizon store on West Third Street in Bloomington. I am writing in regards to the road maintenance and related traffic issues that exist around our store. Maintenance on the Third Street overpass is severely affecting our business and store traffic to the negative. Because Third Street has been reduced to a single eastbound lane in front of our store, customers are not able to access our place of business. Our entrance is consistently blocked off with a line of traffic, and even during the rare times when it is clear, people do not think they can turn into our parking lot because of all the street pylons blocking off our entrance. Further, this same issue also causes traffic to back up on Liberty road which often simultaneously blocks off our rear entrance. This traffic double-whammy is killing our business and noticeably affecting the paychecks of your Bloomington residents that work here. Because there is a Bus Stop right in front of our store, this lane merging is also creating a safety hazard for bystanders and pedestrians in the area, including my employees. Just the other day we witnessed a City Bus hit one of your sawhorse barricades and it got caught underneath the bus. We watched the driver get out, unsuccessfully try to remove the sign, and continue driving with it caught under the bus, dragging it along as they drove on the sidewalk and hopped the curb turning from Third onto Liberty. I would like to be informed what will be done by Bloomington in order to stop stunting our business and creating a safety hazard outside of our store due to construction related traffic signs and patterns. I also need to know when this construction project will be complete, and what is being done to make sure that deadline is met or exceeded. Stoplight and pedestrian signal where walkers (sidewalk) can cross New 37 to head toward Cascades Park. Pedestrian cross button and walkers signal in white light do not work.
Pedestrian crossing buttons on pole at E 3rd & Woodscrest light inaccessible to power chair due to soft surface (mulch) between sidewalk and pole. This is a common type problem with, for example, grass surface between walk and poles at Country Club & S Rogers, or sheer dropoff between walk and button at Kinser & 46 (yeah, "tell it to the State." -- why won't you?)
Walk light does not turn on to cross S Henderson St. That’s going west on E Winslow Rd using the sidewalk on its south side.

The intersection of 2nd and Landmark is heavily trafficked and is difficult to cross as a pedestrian. I would love to see a crosswalk added here provide continuity of the sidewalk on the north side of the street.
I contacted IU but they said this light belongs to the city. The light to let pedestrians cross at 10th and Fee Lane (going from Kelley School to the Arboretum) is not working. I stood out there in the rain for 5 minutes today, pressing the button several times, but it did not turn to the pedestrian light when it was supposed to. Instead, cars kept going so I walked all the way up the sidewalk to the library where there is a "yield" pedestrian crosswalk; not that anyone does. This is a busy cross intersection for pedestrians, especially with orientation going on.
