A tree is blocking the street is backing up traffic
Abandoned Vehicle in the parking lot across from where I live. It has been there over a year. It has a license plate in the front driver's window near the VIN. The vehicle has not been moved. To the best of my knowledge, no one who lives in this cul-de-sac claims it. License Plate IN : WWV558 Exp. 5-28-2024; VIN KNDJE723057097429.
The sole Street light is out at the junction of Maxwell St and Short St. It is very dark!
On 9/5/22, at 8:30 AM, I saw a doe with her neck twisted into a terrible spasm near 1504 S Olive. She could not straighten it even when fleeing. Her head was nearly 90 degrees to the side. At first I thought she was threatening me but she couldn't change posture. No abrasions or blood. Doe and fawn with her looked normal. Both adults had coat loss. Might be a case of CWD? Also filed report with DNR. State website claims no CWD in Indiana but I saw a pretty clear case of it in Renwick subdivision summer 2019--your dispatcher said that's what it sounded like anyway. I wonder if they only count hunter reported cases.
The tab water has been tasting really bad for roughly the last week. Is this a known city-wide issue or should I be calling a plumber. I can't find any other reports of this issue.
We can see a stand of bamboo (not sure what kind) along the north edge of Winslow Woods, which is adjacent to the property mentioned above.
A gray and white cat was abandoned when the owner moved away
There are several substantial potholes along Thornton Drive, between Maxwell and Oxford. And there is one more on Oxford right after turning off Thornton.
About a week after the taste and smell of tap water became like dirt, very organic, I began having loose stool. Last night I bought gallons of water from Kroger because the issue has only gotten worse. I've read that Lake Monroe is experiencing algal blooms, and this document by the epa indicates that this could be a problem, therefore I am reporting this for the safety of the community. https://www.epa.gov/sites/default/files/2016-11/documents/harmful_algal_blooms_and_drinking_water_factsheet.pdf
