Potholes, Other Street Repair

4418 E Stephens DR

Case Date:
8/17/2018

After all the utilities repair that's been going on in our neighborhood, our streets were completely ripped up. The city has since started patching the roads, but they've done a pretty slapdash job of it. The new paving is very uneven and there are gaps and places where it's easy to lose your footing. I've already tripped at least once in the last few days when I've been out walking my dog. I'm a young, able-bodied person so I'm sure you can see how it could pose a risk to the other residents in the neighborhood who might be older or less steady on their feet. I hope this patching effort is a temporary fix and not the final product, because that would be unacceptable. I would love to hear back about this issue and whether or not this is a temporary fix. I hope the roads in our neighborhood can be completely repaved when this water utilities project is fully completed.

Recycling

4330 E Kinser DR

Case Date:
1/6/2016

Does the City not recycle newspaper any more? Most of my recycling materials were picked up early this morning, but I was puzzled to find that the newspapers were left in the bottom of the bin. I finally went out about 1pm and brought them back inside. Should I not put my newspapers out anymore?

Traffic Suggestions

930 N Smith RD

Case Date:
12/8/2014

The intersection of 10th and N. Smith Road during peek traffic hours gets backed up for those coming from the south on N. Smith Road. Because of the long line of traffic, entrances to the Meadow Smith Apartments get blocked, and I'd imagine it makes things a bit more difficult for the gas station there as well. Has the city entertained the idea of making that a three way stop rather than only requiring traffic coming in from Smith Road to stop? The traffic levels seems to suggest a need for it. I could send in a photo next time I see a back up if you'd like.

Trash

4330 E Kinser DR

Case Date:
1/27/2021

This morning when I went out to gather up my carts I noticed that the bar that goes across the middle of the front of my small trash cart was only in one hole. The bar fell completely off completely as I pulled the cart up the driveway. I assume that bar is essential for emptying the cart. Do you have any advice about how I can get the bar to fit back in both holes? At the moment it’s in one hole and angled up at about a 30 degree angle, which doesn’t seem very useful. Just out of curiosity, what is the expected life-span of the carts? They are already starting to look beat up. My recycling cart has a piece missing on the corner of the lid. Excessive Growth

Please review condition of growth in front yard. The amount of over growth and lack of drainage is causing critters to find homes and standing water issues for mosquitoes.

Accessibility Problem

4100 E 10th ST

Case Date:
8/8/2022

There are limited to no sidewalks on either side of the road leading up towards University Elementary School. Although the neighborhoods off Tamarron Drive and Keystone Court have sidewalks, the main thoroughfare doesn't. This makes it difficult--if not impossible--for persons to traverse the area regardless of disability status.
