I am so glad to see that you are finally going to fix Push Place. The picture of the proposed new playground at Push Place looks horrible: one huge slide. Some families have multiple kids with varying degrees of comfort with slides. You need to have some short slides and some medium slides. People shouldn't have to continue crossing Hillside to get to Bryan Park so that their little kids can go down a reasonable sized slide. Even little Southeast Park has 4 slides of varying degrees of difficulty. Will there be hearings on this proposal? Will there be an opportunity to change this design to something that will work for toddlers, pre-schoolers and elementary school aged kids?
The property owner is not taking care of the yard. Grass and weeds are well above the 8 inch limit. Yard has not been mowed at all yet this year. The photo submitted is the way the whole yard looks and is a very large lot. This same thing happened last year.
HUGE KIDS SALE advertisers should be also fined for not cleaning up after events having taken place, that they were illegally advertising. Signs for April event are still out in the 1100 block of W Second Street, in the grass in the median in front of Milliken Smiles and Big Red Liquors; and on the corner of W Third (1600 block) and Patterson in the grass on W Third. And also, as reported previously, on E Second near Bart Villa apartments and the ECC.
Student Painters sign in the grass in front of the Salvation Army building on 111 N. Rogers Street.
There is a dead possum in the gutter in front of 817 South Fess Ave. East side of the street.
Amendment 4 would decrease density and housing options, the exact opposite of what the City should be doing. It additionally poses a real threat to the viability of actual families being able to live in such units. HUD and the law strongly disfavor eliminating housing options for larger families. Please pass my remarks along, as most resident such as myself can't go to nightly 6 hour meetings . . .
The pavement is rough in the right turn lane from West Allen St onto South Larkspur Lane.
I really like the new dismount zone signs on the sidewalks at the corners of intersections on Kirkwood. Much easier to notice than the signs on the poles (too high for riders to notice) By the way it looks like someone removed the one on the corner sidewalk at Kirkwood and Indiana so it needs to be replaced. Wish these were placed around the courthouse square too so riders could see them. Like I said I don't think the ones on the poles are useful. They are just too high to be noticed. The signs on the sidewalks are much easier to see. Thanks
Neighbors burning trash and recyclables in fire pit. Smoke is making its way into our home and causing headaches.
