Timing of the College/Walnut & 45/46 traffic signal is off. Commuting home from work 9/17 traveling west at 5:15, traffic was backed up past Dunn St. Commuting to work 9/18 traveling east at 8:15, traffic was backed up past Kinser Pk. I sat through three red lights before making it through the intersection. This is not typical for the intersection and is not an efficient flow of traffic.
W. 2nd st. heading east, & I think just after the landmark intersection, there is a pot hole that is on the white line and to the right of it. It's only a hazard to cyclists and pedestrians, it is not in the road. I, being a cyclist, have it full speed once before going down that portion of the hill. Knowing what to expect, I ride my bike along that portion of the road, a foot to the left of the line. Thank you Randy Craw 812-360-3600 PS. Just an observation: I noticed in the municipal rules for Bloomington bicycling, that Tricycles are still listed as toys and exempt from the regular rules , and in some cases prohibited from the regular rules of the bicyclists. I feel as though a clarification may be needed, as there are tricycles that are not toys in the familiar sense. My "bike" has 3 wheels and has the ability to keep pace with road traffic in some areas of town. The wheel size on my trike is 20", and by no means a kids play toy in the conventional sense as my top speed is about 50 MPH (yes, non-motorized) Thank you for you consideration into looking into the update of the language for tricycle definition. Saraga Oriental Market at 1305 S College Mall Rd, Bloomington, IN 47401 has a credit card processing system that is so old it takes 5 minutes for each transaction. Recently, even that broke down and so they stopped printing out credit card receipts and just give out slips of the total amount that was presumably charged to the credit card, without any information about what items were purchased and what quantity and so on. I say presumably because I've also read on student boards that sometimes Saraga charge 2-3 times for the same transaction, probably because the credit card processor is so old. Could this be cause for a tax audit? It would certainly be a cause for a better business investigation.
This is a second report. This continues to be a violation.
I am complaining about the parking meter policy. I believe that this policy hurts downtown businesses. I would like the policy changed so that the meters do not have to be in use after 5 pm daily.
